Jtf1872 13
Think they would only entertain rangers and prob the rotten mob because of the money that we would bring i dont think they would ever go for any other club in scotland watp
JCDBigBear 10,828
The big hurdle, currently, is the FA (ignoring FIFA and UEFA). Regardless of whether or not any league accepts us we would need to be a member of the FA.We were members of the FA and it isn't clear if we ever resigned. GMac 1,405
What is the current rules regarding all of this though.Would it require a vote of all the clubs down south and how much notice would we have to give given we are registered in Scotland?Suppose we could continue with a team in Scotland, not as if they can relegate us. ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
I think if the taigs got wind of us moving, they would try like fuck to ride our coattails into the conference with us.There happy winning the SPL every year without anyone challenging them, it means they will be in the champions league every year. And there manager will not be happy with you bringing them into our problems again.
Rupret 223
Ultimately the whole of European football will move to cross country leagues, what UEFA will try and stop in the short term, is any club trying to jump ship from one country to another.Saying that, I would miss the famous Glasgow derby, mind you, maybe Queens Park would come along with us. james1690 29
They would have to make it an exception so other clubs can't move down. Plus with us gone I can't see them ever being big enough to want to move down. I'd also prefer to make the move without them other cunts but I think they'd jump at the chance also. I'm all for leaving this shit hole no matter what league we enter. The lower the league the less trouble it should be I'd imagine. The long term rewards outweigh the short term league position. Jimfanciesthedude 24,556
Bang goes europe ever again unless uefa changed their stance Plus the conference isnt that bad a league, i think we may be out of our depth for a while in it
rfcfraserrfc 262
no they're notNot according to an Inverness fan in my college class who says a majority of there players come from players in the conference.

james1690 29
"A lot of travelling for bears, keep that in mind".Not as far as a europe league there talking about. I'd rather take a gers bus for 5/6 hours than hop on a plane.

ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
It doesn't matter if the clubs are in favor of it, it's whoever runs this league that will count.
ZZed 4,510
When I am not up watching Rangers, I have watched Accy Stanley and a bit of Southport and we have nothing to fear as our team right now would walk the confrence and League two, in my opinion. ForeverBlue_Since91 2,895
Would we be taking another teams place? why would they want to lose out on money to let us take it?

TravelingWilBEARy 4,319
Would we be taking another teams place? why would they want to lose out on money to let us take it?That's what I was thinking. If it was to happen then some poor club would, presumably, be shunted down a division.
ZZed 4,510
Would we be taking another teams place? why would they want to lose out on money to let us take it?Some confrence North/ South teams have refused promotion as they think the travel costs are too much.Edit. And have been refused due to their stadium not being up to standard
ZZed 4,510
I don’t think people truly appreciate the level of club in the conference north or south. Most are part time and skint. We would be a massive boost to them.

radlord 24
I've watched some conference games before, and the quality is still appalling They get bigger crowds and have more money yeah, and most of them would thrash a Div3 team, but the standard in terms of what is actually served up is barely better. We should absolutely join if we possibly can though, it'd the only way forward for us really. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with the administration and bureaucracy of trying to get it done...
ZZed 4,510
What clubs GF? the EPL do not vote on who is admitted to the confrence as they are a diffrent body.
