You Bears on here slagging this Geek ought to be ashamed of yourselves, you're right out of order!

Just because Keirny is from a devout republic of ireland catholic background, and is a hero in the catholic herald, and the radical roman catholic Adamus is a trustee on his charity, and he's got links to MacDonagh that supreme knight of columbus etc etc - all these criticisms are totally insignificant compared to the fact that Kierny, after Man u, has been a Rangers supporter since childhood ffs!

Look how much money Kierny's put into our club, and he even brought the knight's smashing horsey with him - it's so big it hardly fits in the boardroom. And you don't even have to bring a carrot for the horsey, Kierny, in his generosity, brought plenty with him!

And, regardless of all this, some folk on here still have the cheek to question Kierny's credibility, unbelievable!

Doubting the Timothy's everywhere these days!

Erm, owning shares does not give him the right to barge in to the boardroom for a slice of power. He bought the shares at their lowest point & will profit from them when they go up I expect. The article is all very well but not 100% accurate in my opinion, e.g.: Mo Johnston signed because he was a great goal scorer, not to get past the issue of not signing a catholic. I'm pretty certain that we were under massive pressure at the time to do something & we did it.

And how do you know those doing the 'slagging' are bears? How can you tell?

I think it's pretty clear that some of the most vitriolic outbursts are very obviously not from Rangers supporters. Your own post is pretty special in content itself.

You are being sarcastic here - right?

It is claimed that Geraldo McPish owned shares in Rangers FC (the 'original' company) which he would use to gain access to AGM's and the like.

He's a bead-rattler from the old school is Geraldo yet he didn't bring us down.

I wouldn't worry too much about Prior.

Watch him? Yes. Worry? No.

1) What's hard to believe that we were his Scottish team?

2) The Daily Record was just a good platform to use to 'spread the message'. Like it or not, it's a mainstream tabloid paper in Scotland.

3) I can see the merits in just using one channel to leak/give interviews to. Saves him doing loads of interviews, and if someone reads something about Prior in the DR, they know it's likely to be true given their history with him.

4) Over Stockbridge, he does have a point. Why should he get a 100% bonus for the team's success in the 3rd division?

5) 'Religion and the city go hand in hand' refers to the fact that a lot of bankers he met were religious. If you read the article in full, Prior doesn't talk about his own beliefs at all.

6/7/8/9) Just because he's met/worked with these people doesn't mean at all that he shares their beliefs. If you employed a orthodox Jew, you wouldn't automatically start being an orthodox Jew yourself.

All in all, apart from 10, I think the article's asking the wrong questions. Yes, let's put him under scrutiny, but bear in mind that the club is a great long term investment and capable of providing big returns to those who invest significantly just now.

your point 4 is complete nonsense

Beacause it's not true.

Go read the prospectus.

The prospectus is vague in all probability deliberatly so.

One things for sure we won't be playing in the SFL next season so he may well be entitled to his contractural bonus.

It's also not clear whether his share options will 2 and a half x £200k or 2 and a half times £400k, either way it's an utterly ridiculous remuneration package.

2.1.2 Brian Stockbridge

Under a Scottish law agreement signed on 17 September 2012 (but effective from

1 September 2012), RFCL employed Brian Stockbridge as Finance Director of RFCL for a

salary of £200,000 per annum (plus benefits and expenses). Mr Stockbridge is also entitled

to a non-contractual bonus of 100 per cent. gross salary if the Club wins promotion from the

SFL, share options, in the event that the Group’s shares are listed on any recognised

exchange, with a value equivalent to two and a half times Mr Stockbridge’s annual salary.

The agreement is terminable by RFCL either for causes or on 6 month’s notice and by

Mr Stockbridge on 3 month’s notice. Following termination, Mr Stockbridge is restricted

for 9 months from, without consent, directly or indirectly being employed by any football

club in the top division in Scotland as a chief executive or similar role, soliciting any

director/senior employee/player/youth player to leave RFCL or employing a director/senior

employee/player/youth player who was employed within the 12 months preceding the date

of termination.
