RangersFanBase 611
Does anyone know whatever happened to all those plans years ago about adding another tier to the Govan stand, and the Hotels and Casino's that were to be built around Ibrox, that would be owned by Rangers to draw in more money to the club, and people were predicting that such renovations would bank £700m for Rangers, what actually happened to those plans, or was it all bullshit? All I ever seen from those plans was this:And then nothing else ever came of it, nothing.

And while Ibrox needs a bit of an upgrade on the outside (not that bit) this looks hideous!!What do you mean a bit of an upgrade on the outside? This wasn't plans for the stadium (well except the proposed extra tier to GS).. that building in the first picture, was the proposed Ibrox entertainment complex, complete with a five-a-side pitch on the roof, with a casino etc inside. and supposedly hotels would be built in the surrounding area, to make the whole Ibrox area look better, and generate more income, with all profits going to Rangers who'd own the entertainment complex etc... though i think looking back, it was all pish. BlueThunder 8,644
I may be wrong, but at the time wasn't there only one license available for all of the UK an it went to someone else?

It could do with a bit of work. i thought the first picture was an upgrade to the stadium which included all ofbthe things you mentioned, but I am sure you are right! Doesnt change the fact that it looks hideous!

Only one super casino was allowed it went down south.yes it went to manchester then the whole idea was binned and no super casino was ever built. I thought he looked fantastic and at that time it would have raised our prestige even more.

RangersFanBase 611
That looks horrendous. Heres hoping Ibrox never looks like that.Ibrox isn't a football stadium. Ibrox is a place. The building pictured isn't Ibrox Stadium. It was the proposed Ibrox entertainment complex. Quite frankly if another opportunity arises for Rangers to transform the surrounding area of Ibrox, and make it so the club profits, then I'd hope the club snatch at it. Inigo 33,338
Manchester, im sure?Yeah, the super casino went to Manchester, although the plan for a UK super casino was then dropped. The failure of this had little to do with GCC.
