JohnH 270
He bottled it twice earlier in the game to come out to the ball. He was hesitant at the third goal, and Moshni (or Foster..i was so angry I cant remember) should have booted it out of play and took the flak for it, protecting the keeper who was clearly overwhelmed by the occasion. ryanrfctillidie 13
You know how much he earns do you? Can you share that information? It would give your post much more credence. think he's on 2k a week
gogzy 31,195
think he's on 2k a weekwhat makes you think this, could you provide any proof? He might be on something like that, and even if he was, thats only about 100k per year, that isn't a horrible wage for a decent back up goalkeeper at Rangers.Compare that to Cribarri who is allegedly on close to 7k per week, thats over 3 times as much and he is totally useless. HG5 11,113
Why would we give him game time when Cammy bell was playing fine and was fit? The ONLY reason simonsen got a start was because bell was knocked out earlier in the week and had a concussion.Er, so he was ready when the call came?Nothing to play for apart from the unbeaten run and preparation for the last 2 weeks. Why wouldn't you?The likes of Arsenal, City & United all give their 2nd string keepers game time.Don't see why we're too big to do similar. Albertz Laces 35
Yes terrible mistake but all 3 goals could have been prevented. 1st and 2nd should never have happened we made mistakes and were punished.
legalbeagle 3,734
The issue where his judgement was poor is something that would be concerning. The mistake that led to the goal is hardly something that you can legislate for, and certainly not something to have a go at coaches for. One of those things sadly. Blumhoilann 6,712
Shit happens. He'll not mess about again with a back pass.Didn't ers f**k upchange the result. Foster's f**k up for their 2nd was more worrying.
alectrician 70
Actually the blame for our defeat lies with Referee Madden who allowed both teams to wear the same colour socks....(Black)....which was obviously responsible for firstly.. Fosters inability to distinguish this as he passed it to them leading to the second goal...and again with Black passing it to them from a free kick that in turn leads our goalie to pass to them in conceding the goal that cost us any chance of levelling......Why oh why didn't we wear our lucky white socks!!!.... gazza27 15,283
Never had a chance with the first 2 goals, was slow in coming off his line all day. The ball should have been cleared before Cifti had the chance to pit him under any pressure.Eh?he nearly made a cunt of 2 in the first half coming off his line when clearly he shouldn't have then the second have he stayed on his line for one he should have came outUseless yesterday

OlegKuznetsov 10,816
On reflection, given recent events in the media, I reckon Simonsen is due a call up to the England squad.
Madina 3,817
Simmo is a great guy but sadly he has been a waste of a wage (through no fault of his own). I'd have preferred Gallagher as back up but no we send him to Airdrie where he made a few howlers and it had a demoralising affect. The lad couldn't even make saves from fat fucking Dundee United fans yesterday
Madina 3,817
Forgot to say an old drunk guy was having a go at Simmo after the game yesterday, basically said the players wouldn't be hurting after the defeat and that he'd prefer we signed Craig Gordon
HG5 11,113
so we should have dropped bell and played Simmo in the league them played a not match sharp bell in a cup final and semi final ?Couple of games wouldn't have killed anyone. As I said, top EPL clubs aren't afraid to do it - why should we be?Anyway, the fully fit Cammy made a right hash of the one thing he had to do last week, so an unbroken run hasn't done wonders for him has it? weshallnotbemoved! 714
He is on the Glasgow to London train this afternoon so he won't be at training tomorrow. He must be coming back if Bell isn't fit.

daviec1953 147
A shocking mistake for the 3rd goal. But from my seat in GF1 his fuck-up isn't the only mistake I've witnessed in the past 3 yearsGive the man a break ,the chances are he won't play again. HG5 11,113
I don't think it's fair to blame SimmoIn fairness, we were only a goal adrift due to a howler from their man.But for that, had we gone in at HT 2 down, the 2nd half may have been a lot less close than it was. OlegKuznetsov 10,816
I don't think it's fair to blame SimmoIt was a simple wee job and he fluffed it. Well paid back up keepers should be able to deal with it, laces through it, in any direction but your own goal.
