bombaybadboy08 15,660
With a competent manager, definitely.
JograBear 1,074
If we had a half decent manager then I feel we would have still won the leagues.
The Educator 1,572
Anybody who honestly believes that side would have won successive promotions is either delusional or just plain bloody minded. Tbh, we would have been lucky to get out of the bottom tier.

Moody Blue Legend 61,598
Yes but not with as much flare as we have with the current squad!!

Bluepeter9 5,167
Yes and even if the football was shite, at least it wasn't shite football at a high price. Most people never claimed we should have went with 20 youngsters all 3 seasons.A spine of experience and know-how surrounded with youth/cheap options is what most people thought was reasonable.Which is what we did! TMB 14,167
I havent added, Mitchell, Perry, Hegarty, Crawford, Murdoch, Hemmings and such..Alexander and Broadfoot were still at the Club too.
TMB 14,167
AlexanderBroadfoot Perry McCulloch WallaceMcKay Hutton McLeod AirdLittle HemmingsThat's more than enough. Broadfoot would have stayed if the fans didn't hound him out. The only targets that made any real sense to me were Templeton and McGowan. Spending money on those two would have been worth it as they bring youth, flair, resale value. Also, with a new RB Broadfoot could move in to CB or cover at LB the way he had been doing for years under Walter.

themoodybloo 77
Playing a team like that meant they would have grown and learned together.....
ritchieshearercaldow 22,190
Yes we would have won them with that squad plus a new manager.
Getstiffed 8,863
Which is what we did!Yes that what we done. And the football was amazing. You live in a fantasy land. Aird got a game regular as Shiels and Temps were injured more often than not.Macloed when fit this season was shunted out wide to accommodate two under performing, more expensive options. We had a young RB who couldn't be(and in a few early games wasn't)worse than another expensive option. Our very first signing this summer? A young guy on the cusp? A young exciting talent that could be vital in 13 or 14 months time? No, a fucken 35 year old.Same shite, different year. WilliamFyfe 1,438
I strongly believe that group and squad could of won us the lower leagues then this summer brought in the backbone boys for SPL season coming.
Jimfanciesthedude 24,607
I don't think so. Midfield in particular would have been outmuscled/kicked off the park, with as has been evidenced, little or no protection from the officials in the lower tiers.our midfield have been posted missing for two seasons now in all honesty (barring macleod)Black was god awful in division 3, he was offered no protection from the cloggers, law simply went awol back in november this seasonour strikeforce in the OP would have been the least convincing, however, the OP team would have won division 3, division 2 would have needed a few extra bodies like templeton, clark and another midfielder
