j1mgg 3,766
Just seen this story and wondering who he is a fan if as it isnt mentionedA man who assaulted a security guard and fought with police while trying to get into Rangers' Ibrox Stadium has been jailed for eight months.Stuart Robertson, 32, from Springburn, Glasgow, seized the guard and pushed him against a wall on 7 February. When police intervened he struggled with them, shouted abuse and threats and made a sectarian remark. At Glasgow Sheriff Court, Robertson was also banned from attending football matches for three years.Speaking after Robertson was sentenced. Stephen Ferguson, football liaison prosecutor for the west of Scotland, said: "This kind of physical and verbal violence directed at people who are simply doing their jobs is unacceptable, whether at football matches or elsewhere."The Crown Office Procurator Fiscal Service takes a zero-tolerance approach to this type of behaviour and will continue to prosecute those who engage in it." AlBear. 8,499
They don't call him a Rangers fan in the article. Not like the media to pass up an opportunity to put us in a bad light.

1690tamRFC 5,001
The very fact they don't mention he's a Rangers supporter tells you all you need to know mate. There is no way they would have missed this chance to boot our support had he been a bear.

bears fan 259
Would have been front page, 'Rangers fan jailed for sectarian abuse'.Not one report mentions what club he supports.
TheDuke 33
My thoughts too. From reading the headline it was obviously not one of us
gmcf 34,578
Well at least he was trying to get into the stadium.Lol. I would have been more understanding had he been trying to escape watching some of that football.
Blumhoilann 6,712
While not condoning his behaviour,it seems to me the punishments handed out to footie fans are tough in the extreme when you compare their sentences to that of REAL criminals, burglars, rapists,Paedos' even murderers.Seen a right set-to a few weeks ago after a rugby game in Belfast, two guys knocking six bells out of each other and the cops standing watching. The pair were separated by 'fellow supporters' and they went on their way.No charges.Mibbee the PSNI are just a shit police force? j1mgg 3,766
That is a joke then if they haven't mentioned what club he supports, as said by previous posters, if it had been one of ours then he would have been called a rangers supporters, now we will just have people assuming he is on of us.
