Skyson1872 2,923
I don't think it is impossible now. Here would be my plan. 1. Get someone running the club, doesn't matter who, as long as it is stable.2. Try and get promotion via play-offs. If we don't then it isn't the end of the world.3. Get a decent man to man coaching manager who knows Scottish football like the palm of his hand, A decent DOF one prefers the use of youth and a decent Head Of Youth Development instead of Sinclair. 4. Let all 13 contracts run out other than maybe Faure's. Will probably save about 3m a year in wages.5. Sell the overpaid dross whos contract doesn't run out, Mohsni, Law etc. Maybe get around 200-400k from sales.6. Start using Sinnamon, Halkett, Gasparotto, Murdoch, Hardie, Gallagher, Walsh, Stoney, McKay, Lyon, Ogen, Pascazio, they won't need time to gel as they have played with each other for years.7. Look to bring in a two or three season championship winners, like a few from Hamilton, that knows exactly what this league is all about.8. Get plenty of season tickets in, absolutely pack Ibrox out every 2nd week. That will help cover some of the losses aswell as the 3m saved in wages.9. Win the league, simples. now then forever 298
Of course we'd say that. We've barely seen Sinnamon, Murdoch, Gallagher etc and saw plenty of Kal, Hegarty, Perry, Macleod, Aird etcThat's the way it works on here.I've seen plenty of them in the youth games coming up and they've been really impressive. They just pumped a Hearts youth team with 7 of the Hearts first team in it. Gallagher even stood out in the championship this season when he was with a poor Cowdenbeath side. The clubs just been wasting money on guys like Black, Foster, Jig, Smith etc when Murdoch, Sinnamon, Halkett, Gallagher etc could do just a good a job if not better. Plus they've got the potential to improve unlike the deadwood.
now then forever 298
Besides Telfer and Murdoch(who made his debut that season), we did just that. Also playing guys like Hegarty and Crawford too.No we didn't!! AldoKrfc said we could have played a team with 7 or 8 teenagers and 3 or 4 experienced players in div 3 and div 2, which you said we did just that. If you think we did name just one league game where we started with 7 or 8 teenagers and 3 or 4 experienced players?
A Gallant Pioneer 555
Our average age for the seasons in the bottom 2 leagues was around 27/28. Since 2012 only 2 kids have had a real chance in the team, Aird and MacLeod.
AldoKrfc 106
Besides Telfer and Murdoch(who made his debut that season), we did just that. Also playing guys like Hegarty and Crawford too.We did not play a youthful line up consistently. We would have 2 or 3 in a team each game which isn't enough. We did not need to bring in cribari, Greek cunt, faure, Kyle, sandaza, black, Sheils, or Stella. We did not need to keep McCulloch either. It would be interesting to see how many times he played 8 youth players in the same team that season. I would guess 2 times maybe at the end of the season once the league was won.,
Skyson1872 2,923
We played Crawford, Aird, Macleod and McKay reasonably regularly and IMO McKay and Crawford could waltz into this current team if we didn't have a buffoon as a manager. Hutton and Perry were hardly youngsters, like 21 years old? Hegarty played the odd game. Mitchell played a few when Argriyou and Aird were injured, he would play RM/RB as cover. But not a chance did we play 8 teenagers in one game.
BROOMIERD 308
Utter shambles brought on by a crap board pandering to a crap manager.I could see us stuck in this league for a couple of seasons to be honest. We needed the board to invest in some decent players at the start of this season but through their mismanagement of our finances we were skint. We had to make do with what we had which was not good enough to waltz through this league.as many thought. QOS won the 1st division by 25 points and no one expected them to win the championship they finished 4th. Looks like we will do something similar.Allys biggest mistake was bringing back Boyd we were crying out for a midfielder or two.

Also the likes of Kal, Hemmings, Cole, Mitchell were regular squad members. There were also debuts for Gasparotto, Walsh, Murdoch and Stoney. You can argue they should have played more minutes, I will argue a team made up mainly of these players wouldn't have coped as well as some think, but you cannot argue we didn't rely on youth that season.Yes the likes of Cribari, Kyle etc were mistakes. Tumshie 205
Would rather play the youth team until the end of the season rather than the imposters who seem to get a game every week.
BROOMIERD 308
Aaah. This thread is about youth. Failed many an exam by not reading the question properly.

gersandy 594
Historically, we've never been a club that brings on youths.
ronniemca 479
Historically, we've never been a club that brings on youths.Ritchie,Caldow,Greig,McKinnon,Stevenston,Scott/Henderson,Forrest,Brand,Wilson/Johnston all youngsters who came through the ranks ,all part of the greatest rangers team I have ever seen.but that was in the days before fuckin lazy managers and coaches who simply want to pull out a cheque book .do two hrs of training a day and fuck off to the bookies/golf course/pub.
