rfc_watp 1,503
After seeing Motherwell fans having their 'traditional' end of season pitch invasion, it got me thinking.Has there ever been a pitch invasion at Ibrox from our own fans?
CharlieWATP 3
Never heard of one but has there ever been a need in one?
hammer93 15,113
We had a mini invasion against the sheep 85 I think, trouble flared on the park so the bears came on the park down at the east enclosure
PaulReid 184
Thought you were going to suggest that when we get promoted there won't be any problems with a pitch invasion.Thinking tho that would be cringy as fuck
Paulie Walnuts 1,061
When the league title got brought back to ibrox a couple of times there was pitch invasions. Always remember a guy in a wheelchair getting pushed across haha
SeparateEntityMyArse 54,269
Depends if you mean a pitch incursion by excited fans celebrating a miguty success or an invasion aimed at goading the opposing fans to fight. The answer to both is no for the record. HG5 11,410
Seen a couple in the 70's, in games v the Scum, home & away - more lads at the front dodging bottles than celebratory!

piperpete 3,186
When we won the league against St.Mirren years ago, all I remember is seeing guys dressed in Togas running about the park amongst the thousand or so who went on.
tannerall 25,935
Only time I remember being on the park at a game at Ibrox was when a gas cannister exploded in the hamburger stand at the back of the Copland Terrace during a midweek game against Motherwell. Was at the time of the IRA bombings, couple of thousand piled on to the park. Settled down quickly and me and the mates took the opportunity to skip in to the seated Centenary Stand. Only other time I was on a pitch was a mini-invasion invasion at Hampden after a Scotland Peru friendly.Saw a few minor spill overs when the bottles flew at games in early 70s, nothing memorable.Watched the 1980 Hampden riot invasion from the enclosure, and was too young to be allowed to Barcelona 1972. j1mgg 3,766
Let's see what happens to Motherwell about this, and then we can decide if we can make it a fortnightly thing at home.
eejay the dj 31,964
Pitch invasions are only for small time clubs with even more small minded fans
ScottBF2 3,540
Was one at Ibrox on Helicopter Sunday, quickly died down though as the culprits were booed and kicked out, players were on the pitch with their waines and the majority seemed to be worried for their safety. No good can come from a pitch invasion really, but the Motherwell rent boys have set the standard, they're now considered "obligatory", "traditional" and "good humoured".I'm looking forward to securing promotion next season and invading the pitch v St Mirren and Hibs.
