glasgow argyle 1,093
Well I've decided to drive there late on Saturday night just to see what the natives are like. If it's bad then obviously I wont bid on the property. But if its reasonable or better , I may well submit an offer on Monday

No need to scout it out first. Gartsherrie has got Drumpellier and Blairhill within walking distance. The two most affluent parts of the town. You could do far worse in Coatbridge and across North Lanarkshire. glasgow argyle and DiamondDan

Actually got the train into Glasgow from Coatbridge for European games a couple of times when we've been up at her maw's and the station's always full of bears. The Ibrox Derry 9,029
Plenty of good folks in Coatbridge. Coached in the high schools years and years ago, both RC and ND. Worked with Airdrie's Andy Smith. Never had any issues. My grandparents and other relatives were from the "whifflet". My Dad, now passed, says that was a Protestant enclave in the 1920s to 1950s. No idea what it's like now.
