RDFM 3,809
He was being too greedy so MW took him off for an applause at a time where it looked like we could score another few, no issues for me.

Too greedy? If he was doing fuck all with the ball then, fair enough, but he won us the game.

Yes too greedy. He wasn't releasing the ball to players in better positions as he was trying to get his hatrick. It was detrimental to the team. Tav being shite and a greedy cunt didn't seem to get him subbed off, doubt that was the reason tbf.

Corky True Legend 2,682
Ffs. He has just come back from a lengty spell out. He has had a couple of outings as a sub and now has had a start and longer on the field. I think that Warburton is building him back up gradually and have no problems with that. 50ShadesofBlue 667
There was no way he was playing 90 mins, goals or no goals.

Terry Hurlock Loyal 12,133
If he is going to be any sort of big time player, then he needs to be producing a performance like this on a regular basis. Not every three months, where he drifts in and out of the team. I'm not convinced he can maintain performance at the top level.
delamonty 992
No problem with the sub. Doubt he could have lasted 90 mins...
Smile 26,610
Didn't have a problem with the sub at the time but it did seem to affect the team, mentioned once i noticed the impact him coming off had on the team as we then looked toothless but it's easy to do that after the fact. He was clean through and rolled the ball to Tav who fucked up his first touch. Wasn't too greedy, just confident. Should have stayed on IMO. Said it in the match thread well before he got subbed. Needed 90 for match sharpness more than anything else.
Miller time 4,988
When a player scores two they never pass. Eriksson done it for Tottenham the other day. People in better space n he just kept it n hit no hopers

Tbh, I thought he was starting to look a little tired, not surprising given the shift he put in. I think it was the right decision although it does piss me off a bit when a player is on a hat trick . Billy1984 6,314
Hadn't played 90 in god knows how long and on a similar surface to the one which put him out injured for months. Was never goin to play the full match. Encouraging performance and 2 goals. Good night for waggy I'm pleased for him. tannerall 25,935
It was Waghorn's turn to put the kettle on for the full time teas. Mr Warburton is a professional in man management and knows some players like a nice cuppa and a chat after running around a football park for 90 minutes, especially in the cold winter months. It builds team spirit and gives the players something else to put on their CV which could add to their transfer value. If we do well in the league Mr King will invest in an automatic tea maker next season.
scottyc06 6,915
He came off with about 15 still to go, clearly that was tactical and not for the purpose of letting him get an applause for his goals! If you're doing that it happens around the 90 minute mark to give him an applause and waste time! He hasn't started since October, hardly surprising that he never got 90 mins!
