jackrfc95 4,255
Its all very well saying 'we need someone that knows the club', you can know the club as much as you like its still not going to make this squad of players any better. Neil1418 60
Big Eck did really well before with very limited funds IF he would come then I would grab him, it would interesting to see if he would be able to do something with this pile of dross that Warburton has assembled. ElBufalo20 7,978
McLeish is a terrible idea as others have said.Said it myself plenty over the years when his name crops up. Was successful at Rangers with the era of players that Advocaat brought in. Finished 3rd in the league yes 3rd with a better squad of players. Took over Scotland and ultimately failed when Walter had put us in a brilliant position to qualify. Won the league cup with Birmingham fair play but still managed to get them relegated twice. Hounded out of villa because on the brink of relegation. Failed in Belgium and chased the money in Egypt and failed miserably there too. Forgot about his 2 weeks in charge of Forest. Left cos of disagreement with the board wouldn't want someone managing the team who's happy to drop them like that especially as we've King who makes empty promises. Yeah nice guy and Dunfermline and Helicopter Sunday was magnificent but scraping to league wins on the last day time to put an end to this McLeish begging. Not the right choice at all

Captain Hilts 12,819
Our fans amaze me at times. Why the sudden demand for McLeish? Bar a jammy League Cup win with Birmingham (which was won in the last minute due to a fuck up in the Arsenal defence), he has achieved absolutely nothing since leaving us. He relegated Birmingham, got sacked from Aston Villa after a shocking start to the season, got sacked from Nottingham Forest and lasted a couple of weeks at a club in Belgium. Get a grip man. The rag heads ditched him with TEN LEAGUE,games still to play. He got lucky on Helicopter Sunday. TIME TO look forward not back. Zamalek 28 February 20162 May 2016 Played 10 games Won 6 Lost 2 Drawn 2 60% win ration Think you will find that's no a bad record and reason Big Eck left was because the Rag Heads as you refer were trying to pick his team after he was sending out winning teams each week GOGGLE IS YOUR FRIEND SIR
Smell the hotdog 4,055
Fuck off with his Alex McLeish pish. Nearly as embarrassing as last night.
delamonty 992
Can't disagree with Eck. Defender -- like SWS -- and took us to the CL with a fuck all budget. Bigger problem imho is the board. MW is a businessman...won't walk & on what.. +10K per week? We're fucked for a while? The question is though.. Why is there no investment interest in our club? Easiest answer is of course... We are in the SP(f)L. I wish we went to England 5 years ago. We had a chance.

Junior Soprano 22,428
I'd honestly demote warburton to the u20s and bring murty in. Embarrass him like he's embarrassed every one of us.
Junior Soprano 22,428
Also Davie Weir plays a massive part in this. A man that was managed by Walter. He knows that these performances/results are totally unacceptable. Why is he not telling warburton? He is undoing any good he did as a player for us. cushynumber 25,178
I dont want eck in. I do want MW out, but i dont know who is going to replace him .Not eck
BlueSuedeSambas 54,482
I'd be happy enough with McLeish until the end of the season, but I wouldn't want him here in the longer term.

So far today I've read posts from you comparing Warburton to McCoist, saying you're not going back to the games for the rest of the season and now Davie Weir is undoing all the good he did as a player for us. You're a fucking drama queen.

WGOH 2,344
McLeish was a fine manager, won plenty with next to nothing, but football has moved on from then and so have we. However, no chance in hell someone like Big Eck or Walter would've put up with that performance. Mark Warburton doesn't seem like the type who would keep the players in the changing rooms and scream at them. Walter would've never stood for that shitebag performance, heads would roll on his watch. Long as we have a world class breakfast in the mornings but eh?
