We sacked MW by releasing a statement. Same way Man U sacked Moyes. Same as Everton sacked Martinez. Same way most clubs do. I dont agree with how it has surfaced but i don't expect that we release it and send someone out to the hordes immediately. Meanwhile Warburton has been caught off guard and hopefully goes out gracefully. If however he decides to fight I'm afraid his credibility will sadly suffer . Ok so he carries on taking the training sessions but to let him go in front of the cameras was insane. There can't be any letter of resignation or Warburton would not have claimed that he didn't resign. Depends how stubborn he is, and how much he demands. Probably seen as the best option by the board to clear the decks and give the new man time. It's also very possible/likely that we have our man lined up, and (with cautious optimism) it is someone who will unite the support immediately, someone who is to be trusted with increased funding. Anything else would sound like they were wee gossip merchants - that then would be embarrassing. The rest of the story should be up to the yo yo boys, let them explain not a board of directors. There might be some legal/financial implications and a wrong word or two under media questioning could prove very expensive. It would be good to hear from Club 1872 giving the fans opinion. It's ok folk quoting what happened when all these others got sacked - as far as I know, none of them turned round & denied what had gone on!
