That he's arguably been our best and most consistent defender is as much evidence of how shite our defence is as it is that he's a grafter. Considering the amount of shite we're going to struggle to shift from our squad, I think it'd be daft to give another contract to a 38 year old. If he'd been brought in on a 2 year deal I'd have no qualms with us honouring the second year and having him as a back up, but the wages he's receiving should be used for a younger defender. Big guy always comes across well in interviews. Don't think Pedro will keep him as he doesn't have many who are out of contract and will be looking to get new guys in as quickly as possible. He'll likely have to wait until he knows if he can sign new ones. So he'll likely let most go so he can make as many signings of his own as possible.
