What about Alfie? SG gave him a new contract

He's turned to dug shite anaw.

Overweight. 12 league goals and four goals in the last twelve. Not good.

Head's gone. He doesn't help himself though and I could blame both Gerrard and the club for a lot of it.

However, reputations mean fuck all when you win fuck all year on year.

McGregor and Arfield were identified my Mark Allen and were alredy holding contract talks prior to Gerrard's arrival.  Gerrard inherited the deal for Jamie Murphy.

Mark Allen also said that Katic was an indication that the new scouting system was working.  So Gerrard didn't identify him, the scouts did.  Pedro never gets credit for signing Morelos because he didn't identify him personally, so why should Gerrard get stick for guys he didn't identify personally?  That would be hypocritical.

Loan deals are very low risk but can bring high rewards (like Hagi) so I wouldn't call any of them a fail.  If it works out and we get the player permanently then great, if it doesn't work out we send them back to their parent club.

Labelling Hastie as a failed transfer seems strange when he's only 20 and brought in as a project seems strange.  The boy could go on to be a fantastic player for us.  Why write him off now?  Strange.

Guys like Gareth McAuley were only ever brought in as short-term backup.  He served that purpose so it's not a fail.

Manager signs off on deals managers extends contracts given the new deal it's that simple.

Added fail for me, due to the way he is now. quicker he goes the better.

The value of Morelos has increased quite a bit since Gerrard took over so why wouldn't we offer him a new contract?  You tie down your most valuable players on long contracts.

So you agree that Pedro Caixinha brought Alfredo Morelos to Rangers.  It was his signing and he gets all the credit for that?

Shite whole first season, very good August-December, and rank rotten since.

A get Goldson’s been shite and should be dropped but c’mon to fuck.

Barisic is an outstanding player who will go on to earn us 10x the money we paid for him.  How is that not a successful bit of business in the transfer market?

Yes as he has the final say, he's a Gerrard player now as he chose to resign him.

Give us your pass and fails as that's what this thread is about.

The squad is worth a lot more now than when he came in.  The prize money and gate receipts for reaching the last 16 of the Europa pays for Kent and Helander.  When you’re looking at it in that context it’s nothing but good business from a financial perspective.

Funny seeing people flip flop on the issue of who gets credit for the signings.  People hated Pedro and didn’t want to give him any credit for bringing Morelos here.  Now people are turning against Gerrard everyone brought here during his tenure is his signing despite the fact he didn’t identify or scout all these players.

What's certain is even the worst of them with a half decent manager are good enough to beat Hamilton.

The previous 4 meetings with Hamilton we beat them 4 times scoring 17 times and conceding 2.  These players are more than capable of beating Hamilton, or anyone in this league.  They’re going through a very poor run of form.

We’re talking about performances, Barisic has kicked his arse for four months. Hardly outstanding. As much of a fail as he is a pass.

Barisic has 12 assists and 3 goals from free-kicks this season.  Performances good enough for some big teams to sit up and take notice.

Even if Barisic never kicked a ball for us signing a guy who we can sell for 10x profit automatically makes it a successful transfer.  If we could do that with everyone we brought in we would quickly become the richest club in the country.

Barisic will probably go on to be outstanding at the Euros this summer with Croatia.  Yet, we’ll still have folk on here claiming he’s not good enough.

Hes signed a lot of shite and plenty that he himself wants to get rid of . The fact they have won fuck all in two years confirms it.....

So shite they played 19 league games prior the winter break and only dropped 7 points.  So shite they reached the League Cup final, dominated the game, and only lost due to the officials allowing an offside goal to stand.  So shite they’ve beaten Midtjylland, Legia, Porto, Feyenoord, and Braga, on the way to the Europa last 16.

Imagine what he could do with good players...

How can prople say Kamberi and Hagi are passes when they have hardly played that many games?

It's their opinion, over the short time seeing them.
