Ferencvaros though eh...

He has won trophies in part because he works with a team who have undeniably mental weight in their favor which leads to the circumstance in which they win trophies.

When Rodgers walked out celtic had a significant points gap on Rangers.  Lennon's getting the credit for winning that league but the job was already done by Rodgers.  If Gerrard took over celtic at that point he would've wont the league too.  As I said, you need to look at the bigger picture to appreciate what's going on but there's a reluctance to do that on here.  There exists this binary thinking process of 'but one got silverware and the other didn't'.

Some seem so desperate to get Gerrard out the door that they're actually making Lennon out to be some amazing manager which we all know is bullshit.

Just you hold on a minute there. Lennon single handedly won the league cup with an offside goal, their only shot on 'target' that day and was awarded the league with 9 games to go. That's Pep Guardiola genius right there. He also got further in Eur....oh, never mind.

Don't care if they have a better manager than us

celtic don't have a better manager than us.  No matter what happens this season Gerrard will go on to manage down South (on merit not reputation).  This is Lennon's last job as manager at any club.

No one is making out Lennon to be an amazing manager. Most people here are saying that as limited as Lennon is, Gerrard can't motivate or set his side up well domestically and he isn't learning from his mistakes. If the bar is Neil Lennon, Gerrard isn't even meeting that bar.

It's a good point.  celtic were eliminated from the Europa by Copenhagen.  Copenhagen are the second best team in Denmark.  The best team in Denmark is Midtjylland who we eliminated in the qualifiers along with the champions of Poland.  We then get to the group stages and get victories over the champions of Portugal and Switzerland.  We also get the better of Feyenoord and Braga.  But we're shit and our manager is a "donkey".

Ok, I will jump in on the yella teeth conversation...

He was a shite manager at Bolton & Hibs and got run out by both clubs. He dresses like a tramp on match days. Threatens women. What else?

Give me Steven Gerrard all day long.

Based on what? His name as a player? How has Gerrard fared up against him so far? What honours does Gerrard have as a manger?

Aye but, but, but Lennon won 2 leagues ALL by himself.

Bad days in here when cunts are bigging up Neil fucking Lennon to have a go at the Rangers manager.

Gerrard is learning from his mistakes though.  He's changed from the more conservative 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 that will allow us to break down 'the block'.  Beale said more physicality was needed since teams are refereed to a different standard domestically so Rangers brought in more recruited players like Bassey, Balogun, and Itten.  The recruitment process hasn't finished, we're going to bring more midfielders in and improve further.

So say Gerrard isn't learning, or adapting, or changing his methods, isn't true.  They've openly spoke about where we fell short and what they're doing to change it.

That's the bit most people will stop reading from. Why you lying?

Because it is mental to measure that with such a small sample size of evidence this year.

People are clinging to tiny sample sizes as way to say "see, look, see I am fucken right about this thing I have drilled in my head" when really... at this stage it is totally up in the air if he has learned or not.

I refuse to believe anyone on here is saying Lennon is an amazing manager.

In an effort to diminish the talent of our own manager some Rangers fans are now talking up the ability and achievements of Neil Lennon.  Is that more acceptable wording?
