What are the chances of the league actually being completed this season, given that Sturgeon basically said football is on a final warning?

I really can’t see us going a couple of months, let alone the full season, without some idiot player doing something daft again.

That’s why we need to get to top of the league and stay there.  Given the precedent set by the SPFL of awarding titles without all matches being played, it goes without saying they would continue this trend if this season is cut short....😀

They wouldnt be ignoring the nations laws or guidance. They'd still be very much within them. Parkhead's not been shutdown, celtic's players aren't isolating and there are no travel restrictions to the UK from Iceland. Theyd only be ignoring the SFAs guidance. And that means nothing to what is essentially their supervisory body.

UEFA absolutely feel their competitions are above domestic ones. Clubs and domestic associations agree to that stipulation every year. UEFA games always take priority over domestic ones. If Sturgeon pulls the plug to the extent UEFA games can't be hosted here, it fucks us over.

Yes they would....they would be asking celtic to.

She's only pulled the plug on games for those that haven't followed the guidance, no-one else.

They wouldnt. The celtic players (bar Bolingoli) don't have to isolate. Hence why they had the media at Lennoxtown this afternoon. If they were to isolate theres no danger they are holding a presser with the media physically in the room.

You're doing that obtuse thing again...

The SPFL, under pressure from the Scottish Government have stopped celtic playing games.  It's not about isolation (yet).

They didnt. They left it to the league bodies to do with the threat that any more and the whole thing gets pulled and we get Gov intervention to stop them playing.

I watched Nippy live today and it seemed clear to me she was far from happy and in her reply to speccy she definitely stated that she expected that as a minimum that the scum and sheep wouldn’t play for a week and that’s exactly what has happened, Not having a go at you btw but I don’t see that as a coincidence but more of a veiled threat imo

It might be obtuse, but it is almost certainly how it'll pan out barring any other change in circumstances like a positive test etc. UEFA don't give a toss about the SFA or what they think. If they can play the game, they'll play it.

Why are they not isolating though? Surely that’s the logical thing to do.

That's because theyd spent the morning in talks with the SFA and SPFL. They knew the games were getting pulled because it had already been decided they were getting pulled before she spoke on TV. The most telling bit for me is that the clubs weren't told the games were cancelled under government advice but as a decision of the JRG.

Because it's not what is required of them. Totally agree it's the logical thing to do but unless they are told they have to isolate, they won't.

If their players, barring Bolingoli, don’t have to isolate then why is their next two games off?

She's not pulled the plug on any games yet. That's the SFA and SPFL who have done that. When the Scot Gov pulls games, the full card is going and approval to play or train is removed completely.

Still think its bananas allowing a physical presser even now. Very much an unnecessary risk even before one of their players protocol.

Gotta laugh at Lennon saying the club can't watch the players 24/7.

Mind a story with Fergie turning up at a house party Giggs and Sharpe were at and dragging them out by the ear.

You can watch them, you just choose not to care.

Apparently they can’t watch coaches 24/7 either 😳

Bolingoli is obviously off his head doing it but he’ll be fuming the way the club have absolutely destroyed him in the media.

£3m signing and 15-20k a week sitting in the house for another couple of years lol

Exactly what I would do now. He even made a public apology through the club before Lennon destroyed him. Their way of putting everything about it on him and him alone when clearly the club are culpable too.

Exactly. 20k a week player part of the matchday squad just about every week and you don’t know where he is? Pish

There's absolutely no way they'll just cancel tarrier matches, I mean if we win our two games while they don't play, having the points already on the board could be a psychological advantage even this early on and it simply won't be allowed to happen.

Well I got this wrong😂

Tell me what I’m missing here please, Scottish Government in a meeting all morning with SFA/SPFL, The Fat Jap would be involved in that meeting I assume as he is on SPFL Board, Fat Jap has a habit of getting what he wants to the benefit of his Scummy Club but again I would assume the last thing he would want given how many games they have to play this season is 2 postponed games which just might and hopefully from our point of view give Rangers the initiative but on this occasion doesn’t seem to me he has got his way.

Or you hadn't heard he had been to Spain during the 6 days he was back? No one in that entire club heard he went to Spain? In 6 fucking days of training and playing? Only finding out when the rags did?
