Points per game this season.

Under SG  2.31

Under GVB 2.26.  Would have been 2.31 if we had drawn today.

Is it a Gio problem or a player problem?

Neither manager good enough?

Given the fixtures gio has had compared to gerrard, fucking no chance we win this league with either manager in charge this season

It's frustrating our recruitment. In our last windows we've added players that didn't strengthen our first 11. We instead just added more squad players.

Look at our 11 today 2 transfer windows and only Ramsey and Lundstrum make the starting 11.

That lot as well seem to not only get players that strengthen their 11 but they hit the ground running.

I can't remember the last signing we made that settled straight into the team.

Come the summer we're basically needing 3-4 to form the spine of a new team and needing them to hit the ground running

It’s the usual mate. The majority of their signings contribute instantly like within a game or two. Ours always need time to bed in or “get up to speed”.

Ramsey and Diallo Vs Maeda and Hatate.

Ramsey first managed a start against Annan and still can’t complete 90 minutes after 2 months.

Hatate started against Hearts and us and won them both games.

Maeda scores 4 minutes into his debut and they canter the game, Diallo does the same, we drop points and he falls off a cliff

Their 3 players were immediately match fit due to playing the jap season, ours hadnt kicked a ball in months lol

Absolutely no chance we were coasting to a title under gerrard, this shitebag group of players had already choked 9 points this season before he left, and thats without trips to edinburgh two, livi, tarriers and sheep

He left us ahead. It was always going to be closer this year. They've won the league in April BEFORE the split. It's been a shambles.

They’ve won a watch this season with the recruitment under Postecoglu. Not sure if that’s a complete fluke or not, but we need something similar come summer

They got their recruitment near spot on. Doesn't happen often.

We're going to need a near perfect success rate this summer and we're probably going to be hampered in what we can spend.

People saying he left us ahead like we had a 5pt lead with 2 games to go and fucked it

He left at end of october having had the easiest run of fixtures you could ask for, his most difficult away game prior to leaving was united away and we lost that,

Absolutely no way gerrard was getting a tune out of they players to stay ahead after the away games gio has had

Ok so Gerrard might have fucked up the league challenge whereas GvB has fucked up the league challenge.

We were shite under Gerrard aswell, not forgetting they had a shite start to the season also, so being 4 ahead was no great achievement. Best game we probably had under Gerrard in the league was his last game, I think we won 4-1 (cannae mind who against) then Gio came in.

Who says Ramsey couldn't last 90 minutes? Gio?

Because the Welsh manager thought differently in a good 95-minute performance against Austria.

I believe that substitution cost us a point at least.

His subs were stinking and no doubt thinking about Europe because that's the only thing he is competent at.

Ramsey was fucked by half time.

Aribo should still have been subbed before him though.

Gio.

Ramsey off for Arfield, and keeping Aribo on was absolutely criminal.

Agreed. Ramsey is not performing to his own standards, but as they sat deeper and defended their lead  he was the one player capable of playing a killer pass.  Arfield should have been on for Aribo at half time.

Still 4 ahead of them, doesn't matter how good or shite we were, there was a sizable gap which Gio pissed away.

That's fact

This ☝️

We can debate forever what could and couldn't have happened under gerrard.

We had a 6 point league before the winter break and we completely fucked it. We allowed scum fc to get in front and they didn't look back.

That's on everyone board, gio and the players.

We're now back to square one. Needing a rebuild and playing catch up. Last summer that was unthinkable but here we are.

He didn't look like a liability to me out there

But, if he was fucked then it's embarrassing. Even the Welsh coach tried to do us a favour by resting him.

Squad has been wrung out & is not up to regular competition on 4 fronts.

Failure to cash in as asset in the summer & get 2 or 3 proper replacements has cost us dear.

And the Ramsey cash could surely have been used more wisely at New Year, albeit he did provide the one bright spot.

But, rather like a number in this squad, one meaningful contribution was the sum total of his day’s work.

SG saw what was coming down the tracks & left at the first decent offer that came his way.

He was completely blowing out his arse.

Maybe others did his hard running in his Wales team I dunno. But in an OF game you need to put a shift in, he did, but he was fucked.

You may be right and if Gerrard had stayed we might be in just as bad or worse position.  We know for a fact that we have went from being 6 points ahead to 6 points behind under GvB and shat our pants in two OF games.  I don't think that even the likes of McInnes would have fucked up the league as badly as that.

You keep saying "Gio" pissed away. Was Gio at fault for McGregor's multiple mistakes? Was Gio responsible for the defensive frailties that have cost us time and time again? I get the need for blame but putting it all down to the manager isn't the answer.

As hard as it is to admit, it could be that they are just better than us. They have spent over £20m in recruiting players who are better than our players. Some of us seen it coming, you know this cause you were calling us all sorts earlier this season when we said they looked good but here we are.

Another case for Gio to stay may just be his impressive European record. I know a lot of people couldn't give a fuck about Europe after losing the league today, understandably, but he may actually be our best shot at having a go at getting us the champions League group stage through the rounds next season.

That's nonsense, there was a run in the second half down the right wing where whoever was tracking him got nowhere near him after his burst.

He was tiring but everyone on the pitch bar maybe the wee cunt Maeda was, and with 25-30 to go his quality in the final third was needed.

A fresh Arfield did absolutely fuck all.

Desperately reaching.
