FlippinEck 3,751
I think it was just hodgson that "raised the price", he knows damn well that no club will pay that for him
Jasper 171
well....im not to happy about this. Davis is going to be flung out wide or we will have to play 4-5-1...which everyone might think is ok with all of these midfielders however we will defend deeply and the midfield will be told to get back and defend, before we lost beasly to injury against stuttgart he was our only speedy pacy winger and he was told to defend. In my opinion i think that davis is only worth 1million and we just bought mendes they cant play together, can they? Thommo is almost guarenteed a space in the side every week and if Davis is flung out wide (about a 99.9%) chance he will be, he is pish! Not thrilled with the signing either tbh. However to say he is only worth £1 Million is rubbish. We are talking about A player who has played over 100 games in the Premiership, has over 25 caps and is captain of his country. Lets take into consideration he is a good player. He is worth at least 5 Million, so 3 million for him is a steal. I just worry that his weaker performances towards the end of the season will not be carried into next year here. We could blame it on tierdness for now, but he has to play like when he first came here. But IMO Bresciano would have been a far bigger coup, I hope that deal is still on. I agree mate, tbh im quite disappointed about this signing. I really hope ther Bresciano deal can still be pulled off.
jamd1986 8
Good news. We still need an out-and-out winger, a centre back and a right back.

trueblue1872 2
I really do hope that walter plays him in his natural position. If he's shoved out on the right again this season it'll be a big waste of 3million.

cockyjock 0
http://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/post...-more-will-come RANGERS boss Walter Smith last night sealed a £3 million deal for Fulham's Steve Davis - and revealed he's close to landing Yank star Maurice Edu. Hot on the heels of completing a shock £3 million move for Portsmouth's Pedro Mendes, the Rangers gaffer finally succeeded in landing Davis - on loan last season at Ibrox - on a three year contract. News of Northern Irishman Davis' arrival to complement that of Portuguese playmaker Mendes willl go some way to quelling a planned fans' revolt ahead of today's SPL clash with Hearts. Mendes is likely to feature today against Hearts while Davis may also be included if the paperwork can be rushed through in time. Now with Mendes and Davis safely on board, Smith has turned his attentions to tying up the next "Super Mo." Rangers have agreed a £2.5 million fee with the MLS for American midfielder Edu who spent last season with Toronto FC. RANGERS have NOT signed davis they have signed pedro mendes!!!!!!! Where the fuck did you get hat information??????????? considering he is valued at £4million by fulham plus they have already rejected a £3million ofeer from rangers earlier in the year!!!!!
