Played hospital passes all afternoon Couldnt pass the ball on the deck (Unless it was backwards) Never opened his body up when he received a pass Played the ball into the wrong areas and gave the ball back to Celtic Got in Mendes' and McCulloch's way Ran about like he was lost Didnt tackle Didn't close down well Also at times our midfield trio were in a line and one ball took all 3 of them out the game Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

On a positive he did seem to be getting stuck into tackles more than usual today but not good enough overall from our captain, his place in the squad should be in danger but it won't be which is a shame as it may have startled him into getting his finger out. In the second half especially, he received the ball a few times and just immediately passed it back to whoever gave it to him, or took a touch and passed it sideways. I understand it's vital to have good possession in these games but for me, Ferguson is now nothing more than a passenger. A central midfielder who doesn't score, make assists, win the ball, or lead by example. I can't figure out what he actually offers. A spent force, well and truly. Not nice to see. I understand his work rate was decent, but I'd look for my central midfielder and captain to show at least a shred of creative ability, not to mention a bit of dig in the tackle.
