Murty's league record is it good enough

Murty's record in the league this season is Thirteen wins one draw, six defeats His  Overall record in the league it's 14 wins, 2 draws, 8 defeats.

Is he the Man to take us forward with that record?

No.

Ask yourself this question.

Does a decent manager make the right changes when they go down to ten men, or does he wait 15 minutes to bring another striker on?

He's got a long way to go to convince me he's the man to take us forward, but there's only two and a half months left so the clock is ticking.

Ive not given up on him yet.

The league was never realistically in reach, but yesterday was a let down. If things had just went a little differently, and Edward had sky'd his shot and Morelos had not missed his sitter, then its a different outcome. Wasnt an awful lot in the game even before the sending off.

He has till the end of the season, and should be judged when it is over.

Realistically, we were playing a team who have a wage bill 3x ours, with a manager on several times as much as ours.

We are in danger of getting into a self destructive circle where we sack a manager every 6 months because he has failed by not instantly toppling a team who have a wage bill magnitudes higher than ours. We need to give the manager time to develop our team.

Regardless, we've lost the biggest ones

Have we? Yesterday was his first lost v them in three games, he's three for three v Aberdeen. Won one, lost one v Hibs, beat Hearts twice.

There's been some absolute shite results in there too but if his overall record has him around celtic (i think it's one point of a difference) then it is a fair comparison.

Clearly, his record in the league is not good enough for Rangers.  However, you have to take circumstances into account, what he inherited and the players which are available to him.  I don’t think many of us would argue with his signings in the January window.

Don’t agree with the complaints about the substitutions and timing of them, it is a typical grouse from fans who are looking for a quick fix without considering any repercussions.  Bringing on Cummings earlier would have made no difference yesterday, we arguably looked less threatening when he was on than before.

Hibs at home and yesterday were the biggest games.

He has grown into the role a bit from the shaky start.

However whilst he has galvanised a bit of spirit in the squad, he doesn't seem to carry any aura of authority about him. He sets the team up fairly basically, and has them basically organised - he doesn't really have the ability to make changes or make this team fear losing.

He will never be a successful Rangers manager. I don't think he has the mentality to handle a job that demands success.
