Is it the fact they don't have to qualify so they only play friendlies for 2 years post-Euros? 

 

The holders do have to qualify, it's only the hosts who get in automatically. 

I think it's a mixture of attitude and teams just reaching the end of their cycle.

I like it as well I think it's took pressure off the refs on decisions so letting more tackles go that might normally get a foul as they have tv backup.

Yes in the long run it will probably be a good thing but in the opening stages it has been farcical in a few games, for example Englands opener how did VAR not give the English two penalties is beyond me
