You know what was refreshing tonight? Watching a game where Morelos gets reffed even handed.  Where the referee isn’t blowing for a foul every time he’s near a defender. He played the exact same way he does in the Premiership too.

Further Update on BBC Scotland Dispute
    7 August, 2019
Following the Club 1872 update last week regarding BBC Scotland and their ongoing, dishonest coverage of Rangers Football Club, BBC Scotland responded refuting our comments and selectively addressing certain points.
BBC Scotland claimed in their statement that Rangers had not alerted them to the launch of the Everyone Anyone campaign and that the exclusion of Chris McLaughlin from Ibrox “severely restricts” their ability to report on Rangers.
Unfortunately, BBC Scotland are once again being economical with the truth. Several BBC Scotland journalists were notified, not once but twice, about the launch of the Everyone Anyone campaign and received a press release about the initiative. To say that Rangers did not alert BBC Scotland to the launch, and the broader initiative, is simply not true.
We would question why BBC Scotland would issue such a misleading and disingenuous response to our concerns over their refusal to cover a very positive initiative by Rangers Football Club. It is a serious matter for a publicly funded body to mislead licence payers who, however reluctantly, fund their work.
We also note that BBC Scotland did not address our concerns regarding the contributor that they continue to present as a neutral commentator on their current affairs programmes, despite senior production staff being aware of a back catalogue of hate speech by that individual towards Rangers supporters.
We fully back Rangers stance in not providing Chris McLaughlin with press privileges for Ibrox following his repeated, biased and dishonest coverage of our club. For BBC Scotland to suggest that his exclusion hinders their ability to report properly from Ibrox is also disingenuous. In fact, by any sensible measure, his exclusion marginally increases the chance that BBC Scotland might finally meet their obligations for fair and accurate reporting – something they continue to fall short of on a weekly basis.
Since BBC Scotland issued their response, they have been forced to correct a misleading headline about Steven Gerrard’s comments in a press conference ahead of a recent European tie. Even after the initial correction, the headline was still misleading. BBC pundits Michael Stewart and Tom English have also taken to social media and BBC Sportsound to make a number of offensive, ignorant and irresponsible comments about Rangers supporters who found themselves caught up in crushing outside Rugby Park on Sunday. These comments are the subject of further complaints to BBC Scotland.
BBC Scotland should stop short changing Scottish licence fee payers and begin to address the poisonous culture within Pacific Quay towards Rangers Football Club and our supporters.

It was more than what happened at the end that the haters want us culpable for.
The piss poor crowd management from Killie before kick off is being blamed on Rangers fans. The same accusations made against Liverpool fans at Hillsborough is being made..
The hatred these bastards have for us has blinded them to what they are actually saying, From the treatment of the fans to the different way out players are refereed on the pitch we are fighting with one hand sometimes 2 behind our back

Its a lot easier for sneaky Pete to manipulate situations he almost complete control of the media.
Last night on the way home I heard the board statement regarding the weekends game. The part where the gates were opened to allow people in. The statement read. Rangers fans may or may not have opened the gates was absolutely slated on the show. Despite there being footage showing security attempt to open the gate on social media.
That's the kind of shite we are up against. We can all remember the cup final when every attempt was made to make us the bad ones , Our captain was assaulted yet the widest spread version of that incident is. Lee Wallace is a grass.
Meanwhile at seperate entity Fc we have had a summer of the jap come out with all sorts of callous statements without any sort of condemnation.

The complete non effort from us to impact the game in any way between our first goal and then scoring was concerning. We could’ve got down their throats and sealed the game but we were content to play the same way we did Progres away until them scoring gave us a kick up the arse

I dont really care if folk are alright or not tbh.
I care about these messages, revelations, articles, demands etc being shared as widely as possible. Yet too often I read folk saying it's only us that read it but they themselves dont share it on social media. Too often I read that fuck all will happen re the scum, that no one is doing anything, yet they themselves havent done one iota of work themselves ie to even write or email an mp, club sponsor.
We've got a support full of folk who like to moan but do fuck all personally to further the cause. Armchair moral crusaders, apathetic loyal.
I'll hark back to the actions of other clubs and their fans throughout Scotland before we went to the 3rd division. Front and centre campaigns, no holds barred, Lawell wrote to uefa, fans threatened ST boycotts if we weren't killed off, 5 way agreements, hatred and venom personified, and sure as fuck these issues driven forward on front pages of forums.
Yet our club says fuck all, all traction and momentum has been lost by hiding this thread in the depths of the forum, and too many of us think its shite but someone else's responsibility to do more. Look at the responses, likes, reactions, posts stating "shared" to VB articles when in the Bears Den compared to now in here. Its fucking ridiculous, and wholly detrimental to exposure. Sits alongside boxing, darts and mls threads ffs.
So no offence to you, and the above isnt directed at Bristoe, but is it any wonder we keep getting fucked over and the scum keep getting away with shite when we cant even do a proper job on collectively promoting awareness of the biggest scandal in Scottish football. Maybe folk are right that nothing will come if it. But if the person saying that is a bear who hasn't done a thing themselves, or supports our Board remaining silent on the topic, or moans whilst spouting "bears den' about this thread being in the main section of the forum then imo that bear needs to have a long hard look in the mirror. And again, I'm generalizing my frustrations here, not directing them at you or anyone else in particular.
    Rant over.

No it’s not a clickbait title- for once!

So after 6 years of fundraising, I’ve finally decided that it’s finally time for me to finally hang up my gloves, and finally start to draw the curtain down on my overly-long involvement in what was actually only supposed to be a one-off fundraiser.   There are lots of random, unrelated and non-controversial reasons behind my decision, the main one being health-related, so that’s the end of that discussion!
I’m sure many of you will be delighted at the news of my retirement, because let’s face it, I’m an annoying cunt, even on a good day.
What I don’t want to do though, is leave either Erskine or the many Loyal Fund Members suddenly in the lurch, so I have hopefully come up with a workable exit strategy…
We have already just recently paid £2500 for 10 Erskine & Combat Stress Season tickets renewals  for the coming season, and we still have a few hundred quid left in the bank to cover Europa and Cup tickets for the next couple of months, plus our previously promised donation to Bravehound, so we’re good for a while.
We will shortly launch the RM Erskine Fund 2019/20 New Season Membership/Donations thread just as we had planned to do.  But this time, it will run only for about one month, giving any members who wish to continue their support into next season an opportunity to do so. After which, we will stop accepting donations into the current Fund account.
The money raised from that fundraiser, added to the money that we already hold in reserve, should mean that we will have enough money to maintain our spending for the rest of this season (albeit on a reduced budget), and also still hold enough money in reserve to pay for next season’s season tickets, which will be approx £2500 and will be due in May 2020, which means we will be providing continued support using just our existing (plus next month's) resources, until May 2021, which I think is not a bad exit strategy.
Of course, that’s using just our existing (plus next month’s) resources.  After I end my fundraising involvement, it doesn't mean that other Members can’t keep things going in all sorts of ways – it just means donations won’t go through my bank account, so you’ll need to work something out yourselves for that side of things.  (off the top of my head, I can think of loads of options, so it shouldn't be too hard to come up with some fully workable ideas).  I will of course be fully available to the Fund in an offline advisory capacity for as long as my input is needed.
So may I take this opportunity to thank Everyone who has so wholeheartedly supported our efforts over those many years.  I only made the outlandish demands I made, because I knew there were People like you there to meet them. And together, I think we made enough of a difference for it to have been ultimately worthwhile.

So there you go – that’s the plan.  Keep your eye out for the season 19/20 Membership Fundraiser thread which will be along soon, and let’s make it a good one.
Oh and don't forget, you've got a Dug to feed too!
