  1. I like it - actually quite straightforward to gate-crash someone else's picket. The bigger picture though is getting someone to have the balls to run with this story - maybe Scottish media don't have the courage (or are too entrenched in their pro-Celtic mindset) but possibly UK media might have more interest. Dare I say it, but we could actually do with finding our own equivalent to Alex Thomson.... (except someone who is much less of a cunt)
  2. Some stiff prices, but I think a good stroke from the board to test the resolve if those who haven't yet renewed.....pay up for an ST now or pay more if you want to drip feed your funds
  3. Headline price of £2,500 per season - it does also include hospitality for 12 at one match this season though. I am doing this through my busienss and also sponsoring 2 matches this season
  4. I don't see how we have wasted any resources here. Tyhe guy joined the rest of the squad in training - that has no cost whatsoever to the club. As for sharpness - you say it is down to the coaches. They have elected to allow Gordon to join training to keep Bell sharp - a good plan in my view
  5. If we were signign \Gordon, there woudld be the criticism that he was too old - what about Gallagher, etc Now we are not signign him, the allegation is Ally is helping the filth and that causes outrage. Does it not occur that Gordon trainign with us for the best part of the last year may actually be a benefit? He is an experienced keeper who would offer Bell soem competition in trainion (Simonsen only trained part of the week last season). Training for Bell would have been pretty poor if he only had the youth keepers to compete with - having Gordon there would offer him the opportunity to learn and help keep him sharp. I'm critical of a lot of things our club does, but this "outrage" is laughable IMO
  6. I think he would be a good signing - likely to be able to give us 3-4 years abd ad real quality to the side given the level he has played at
  7. He was a pundit for the WC in 2006 - I met him, ndy Townsend and Gaby Logan in a bar in Dusseldorf and had a few beers with him
  8. I really hope this isn't the case for the following reasons: 1 - Black is neither the calibre of player nor person (bettign scandals, drug problems, other on adn off field antics) that shoudl have the honour of captain bestowed upon him - terrible expample to young players and fans 2 - Following on form the above, this speaks volumes for the way the squad is managed by McCoist and his team if Aly considers him to be worthy of the armband and is liikely to see a further decline in the standards set of a Rangers player - which are already some way away from those set by Bill Struth and other managers form our past who ensured our players lived, played and trained by lofty standards 3 - It either signals Lee Wallace has been over-looked, or worse that Wallace will not be a Rangers player next season. He is after all our most saleable asset
  9. It seems to be a bit over-speclated that Ally isn't happy with this proposed appointment. I don't know what his view is and I suspect not manypeople do. However, I'd be pretty idsappointed in Ally if he was kicking off or plannign to kick off about this. He has beebn one of the (many) advocates for us implementing a scouting networkand encouraging the further development of the club as a whole (training, youth, etc). nerlinger would be coming to this with a track record doing a similar role at one of the biggest clubs in the world and this from any view, must surely be seen as the right calibre of appointment to this role. On the other hand he may well be perfectly happy about the appointment and just be seeking a bit of clarity on where his own role starts and stops and what Nerlinger's would cover I think this appointment would be a massive step forward for the club
  10. I've never been a fan of Jig as a player so not looking to try and justify his position in the HoF or even as one of the guys that stayed post liquidation. However, I think you are takign a far too simplistic view on this. Firstly, he stayed when newco bought the club so his contract had to transfer on exactly the same terms as it was on pre-admin. That wasn't stipllated byt he club or Jig - it was a legal obligation. Secondly - do you actually know what the terms of this deal were OR even that he is still under this deal? Thirdly, fan or not, Jig is a professional footballer - i.e. this is his libliehood. How many peiopel woudl go to their boss and say "can you pay me a bit less?" IF this was goign to be done, it would have to have come form the club. Whether it did or not, no-one knows. Finally, by staying post-admin, he gave the club an opportunity of gettign a transfer fee, as with Edu when he moved. No-one took that opportunity to buy him (unsurprisingly) so because of that he stays and plays out his contract. I really don't see how he can be branded a money grabber for staying based on all of the above. Limited footballer, yes.Beneficiary of admin in elevating his status at the club, yes. Money grabber, no.
  11. Spot on and I think this is possibly why it is takign a couple of days to finalise. I would hope we are lookign to pay him at or around his current wage with Killie and then have an enhanced package for next season when (and I say that rather than if) we return to the top flight, with a possible 3rd year at an even further enhanced rate based on Euro qualification, etc. That is they type of deal anyone joinign us shoudl be comign in on - it incentivises the player and means we will not be spending beyond our means next season
  12. Will be one Hearts player I weill applaud on to the pitch - a good servant to the club and a shame we weren't able to agree a deal for him to stay
  13. Drew Robertson is yet another blazer chasing numpty who represents no-one. The news about Nerlinger has got me more excited than any other piece of news about the club for a few years. Finally, we may start to see someone with real coaching telent and footballing acumen grab our scouting, youth development, training, fitness, etc by the bollocks and make some positive changes These so-called 'fans groups' are nothign but a shower of c@@@@ who willdo anythign to put a negative spin on anythign the club does. Union of fuds
  14. I'm uncertain on bringing BOyd back - I would ratehr have him than Miller and having both pretty much means Clark, Gallacher, etc won't get a look in behind Boyd, Miller and Daly. That said, we know what we'd be getting with Boyd. However, let's say we have decisded against signing him and he sings for the sheep. Basically, the new resurgent Aberdeen....the new force in Scottish football....alll that usual pish we hear about them - they sign a guy that a Championship have knocked back. Exciting times indeed for the mutton molesters
  15. I am at least hopign the silver lining of this signing is that he will replace Cribari An improvement in quality (although only slight) and a significant reduction in cost
  16. well put Mister C. A sad loss to the Rangers family. I never met him but, as you say, a great and well reasoned debater and a fantastic member on this forum. Very sad news indeed
  17. at a time where we can barely avoid the bus fare let alone the transfer fee for a new player, this is a massive concern. we are a shambles from top to bottom when we can't even hold on to our own young players as they know they will always be bench warmers to also rans like Ian Black, Jon Daly, etc Ally has a short memory. He should remember what it was like for him coming through and how if you are good enough, you are old enough instead of having a desperation to play distinctly faded talent throughout the team
  18. Hasn't kicked his own arse in about 3-4 years - no chance
  19. I think the blinkers are on too tight for them to realise that they are in any way contributing to it - that is a big worry Reason has gone out the window
  20. Possibly one of the best posts I've read in this whole debacle - spot on GOAT
  21. Wonder who unearthered that nugget? Shows the total desparation that was goign on in SPL towers whilst the party line in public was all about "sportiging integrity" and the current "good health" of Scottish football That basically means that BT will make more than most SPL clubs form TV money each season - hahahahaha
  22. It is a real worry that the support is becomign totally disengaged. I started a thread on here not long after the Ramsdens commenting about the "you're not Rangers anymore" song that we've heard form opposition support for 2 years and pointing that many things about the club are so far form what we know to bethe normal charecteristics about the club. We have gone form a support who's biggest worry was the team selection for next week or the latest transfer target to one where there iss a perverse desire to have a little bit more commercial info than the next guy just so you can be seen as an "expert". The football is almost becoming a sideshow for many. For my part, I want the board to sort things out off the park, I want a change of manager and a team that plays decent footbal and which contains a number of young players we have developed. Change is needed in many areas. All of that said though, my support for this club has never been stronger. I have had a ST for about 4-5 seasons due to work and other commitments. I won't be able to make many games next year either, but I am goign to buy 2 STs. I'm also looking at some corporate stuff for my business as well including possible match or ball sponsorship for a game or 2 next season. The club need the support more than ever just now - let's start remembering August 2012 and the relief we had turning up to the East Fife game, knowing our club had gone so close to the brink and as a support, regardless of who you like, dislike, etc, let's get Ibrox filled every week
