It would be a ‘headline’ signing 
but it is 100% not what we need at the moment. 
We need someone to get this team to fight tooth and nail every week 
de Boer would come in and try and change everything over night, ala Paul le guen, and if he didn’t hit the ground running the fans would turn on him by December. 
 

He has to play games to make a fair assessment I would say 
10 mins here and there doesn’t give you a good chance to rate a player

De Boer and Ajax where a great match due to their long relationship together and his emotional attachment to the club.
he has embarrassed himself at inter and palace since he left Ajax, so I’m sure he has learned from these experiences, but IF he was to come here he would want to implement the ‘ajax’ style that has been successful for him and to try and rebuild his reputation and his style of play for future jobs. 
If he was allowed 2 or 3 years at it he could probably build a cracking team playing some silky football, but we all know that is never going to happen here. 
Rangers is closer to Ajax than inter and palace in terms of expectation and mindset in the respective leagues, but he would struggle in Scotland as he just wouldn’t be given the time to build anything, and also the media would jump all over him after a few bad results. 
In an ideal world he would be a great signing as a manager, but unfortunately that’s not how it works

Ajax was the club that raised him, his comfort zone, i dont think what he achieved there is easily transferable, I dont doubt he could be a success, i think he could build a legacy here if given enough time and resources, theres the rub, he wont be given either, we're a club treading water financially and we aint a patient support
