Its been a mental couple of months, just hope the takeover is coming to a conclsion now so that we can focus on pushing on and winning the league. What a difference a month makes, at the start of March we were looking a bit like a spent force, but the cup win followed by the takeover talk will hopefully have reinvigorated us and push us on to 3IAR

Would be a "Carlsberg" weekend, hopefully we can get that, and top it off with a new owner on Monday

I would agree, it makes us look petty and desperate. I don't doubt that there are anti-Rangers agendas within media circles, but it is impossible that every single last media outlet is tainted with this. We should face that in such an information drought over the takeover the media want stories, and in their desire for stories they will make up a lot/some info, some of it will be positive, some will be negative. Exactly, even if money was no object to Whyte, (which I don't believe it is) he wouldn't be in a 'successful' businessman if he agreed to pay to sort problems that others had created. There must be some kind of deal reached over the possible tax issue, or he would have walked long ago. If he was liable for the tax hit then given some of the reported figures buying the club would essentially cost him double

Exactly, all the takeover stuff whilst it has been encouraging, has also been a distraction from the possibly more important on-field issues i.e winning the league, getting a shot at the CL group stages and hopefully burying C*ltc for a good few years

Can't see a conclusion today, think it will be monday or tuesday before an offer is made and the whole business is sewn up. In the mean time, we need to ensure that we win tomorrow and with any luck the taigs will drop some points up at ICT. If we come out of this weekend any further behind in the league, then the takeover won't carry the same feelings of relief and happiness as a takeover with us sitting pretty at the top of the league with a game in hand.
