Hopefully we start to show a bit more ambition and energy in the 2nd half. We didn’t seem to be first to many second balls and we need to get in their faces a bit more.
Apart from Sakala we don’t seem to take any of their players on. Taylor, Starfelt and Johnston don’t strike me as being that good defenders. Why not try and expose this? 

Gio doesn’t deserve the hate tbf. Didn’t work out but he took us to a European final and won the Scottish Cup back for the club in his only season here.

RANGERS are today delighted to welcome Todd Cantwell as a hugely exciting first addition to the Michael Beale era at the club. The 24 year-old, who can play in a variety of midfield and attacking positions, joins the Light Blues from Norwich City on a long-term deal.
A product of the Norwich City academy, Cantwell made 129 appearances for the Canaries, including two seasons in the Premier League.
Indeed, he has the experience of competing for honours having twice won the Championship at Norwich in 2019 and 2021.
He had a spell on loan at AFC Bournemouth in the second half of last season as they too won promotion to the English top flight.
Back in 2017-18, he was afforded the opportunity as a 19 year-old to travel on-loan to Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch second tier to further his development, while he was also capped at England under-17, under-19 and under-21 levels.
Cantwell will begin to work with Michael Beale and his new teammates at the Rangers Training Centre this week ahead of the visit of St Johnstone to Ibrox on Saturday.
Speaking to RangersTV on his arrival, Cantwell commented: "I am delighted and I feel very proud. This is obviously a massive football club and I am delighted to get going and to get started.
This is a massive club and there is a massive responsibility when you sign for Rangers to be the player that the fans want to see.
"They want to see a player that works hard and a player that can win them games which is very important and that is something I am hoping I can bring."
Manager Michael Beale continued: “I am extremely happy to welcome Todd to Rangers. He is a player that is fully aligned to our playing style and we believe he will be a key player for the club in the coming seasons. 
“I am looking forward to working with him on the pitch this week and integrating him into our fantastic football club.”
Sporting Director, Ross Wilson, added:“We are delighted to welcome Todd to Rangers. Michael and I have spent a lot of time talking with Todd, and indeed with others about his quality and what he can bring to our squad.

Passes away from cancer at 53. Bit of a shocker, he's had leukaemia for a few years but was touted for our job just last month.
Brilliant free kick taker, had a knack of winning collector items trophies: Winner of the European Cup with Red Star, Yugoslav league with Vojvodina Novi Sad, Lazio's only European trophy and their first Serie A title since the 70s. Played at Ibrox a few times I think with Red Star, Sampdoria and Inter Milan.
One of the real character players from my childhood gone.

It's been a few months since that last reared its head. 

I’ve been quite critical of him as a manager during his spell with us, but I’m gutted it didn’t really work out for him here. It never sat well with me when people started calling him a cunt and the like. Gio is one of the good guys and never deserved that.

A good guy, is Gio. 
Handled his sacking with class there. 

The opportunity to manage an institution like Rangers FC is a privilege which very few are afforded. As a former player, I understood the responsibility and magnitude of the task.
 
My backroom team and I worked with energy, passion and were driven with a belief that we could achieve amazing things. We treated our roles with respect, optimism and determination. 
 
We experienced some incredible highs, especially on our European journey to Seville. Winning the Scottish Cup for the first time in over a decade and qualifying for the group stage of the Champions League is something I am very proud of. The passion of our support drove us on to achieve those wonderful memories. For that, I am forever grateful to every single one of you who travelled near and far, spent your hard earned money, and never gave up supporting our team.  
 
This season, like every year at Rangers, the first priority is domestic success. I understand the hurt when wins become draws, and worse, when we experience defeat. That isn’t acceptable at a club of Rangers standing, no one understood that and felt that more than I did. I faced unique challenges and some very difficult circumstances to operate in.   
 
Rangers FC will always be in my heart and I wish the club all the success for the future. Once a Ranger, always a Ranger.

Big mistake this. I hate Ross Wilson and this Board - they don’t conduct themselves with any dignity or common sense. 

They clearly made their mind up on Beale when he came up for the Aberdeen game and it’s been brewing for weeks which made an already difficult situation for Gio next to impossible.
 
Also no way he interviews (assuming we actually even reached out to other candidates) better or is more qualified than likes of Dyche and Seaone yet here we are. Wouldn’t be surprised if we are in the same position as this by next Christmas.
