Turnberry18 got a reaction from Fred H Crawford in Ally included in celebrations?
It could be the club wanting closure. For a narrative alone it would be helpful to say that this brief period in our history is now done and we move on. I never admitted at the time, but this has been a hard time to watch us in periods. This season was the exception, but when we failed to get promoted last season the thought of another season in the lower leagues was hard to contemplate; then Mark Warburton came along. We need to move on, in my opinion. This week should be a time to celebrate. We could be on the start of something special. We should put this behind us, and if Ally is in the stand watching the close of the season and celebrating as a fan that might be a good thing for us to draw a line on the last few seasons. Very few clubs would have stayed intact with what this club has endured, but we did it with distinction. If any club ever ends up in our situation they will probably look at this club and take heart. This is a time for optimism; we should be genuinely excited about the future under Mark Warburton.

Point taken T and it's a fine line.
I just don't think he has a place there at the moment plus i definitely was not a fan of his stint as Manager, his tactics.
I could say more about him but i won't i'll leave it at that.
I'll leave that to more informed Bears than myself.

I reckon if McCoist is indeed part of the celebrations then the vast majority will cheer him. I don't think the hatred for him on here is representative of the wider fan base. Of course, I could be wrong

If he did show up, I'd happily sing "super ally". Because thanks to that man we got to the championship in the first place.
Also he got us there on poor managerial tactics that weren't going to cut it, he still did get us there. Which is worth something.
I'm not going to get involved in the whole money issues, what he's done for the club is enough for me.
EDIT: Also, Mr Warburton doesn't have an issue with McCosit coming back for the ibrox title party. So if it's good for Mr Warburton then it's good for me.

I actually think you'll be in the minority booing him TBH. If you want to bring embarrassment on the club by booing a Rangers legend then that's what to do.

Will always be welcome in my book.
Done more for Rangers than most yet is lambasted and made unwelcome by some in the same way the traitors like naismith and lafferty are???

He failed miserably as a manager but no one really knows the financial gain and circumstances surrounding his situation and he has never came out and told his story (maybe protecting someone or the club, time will tell) but for me he is and always will be a Rangers Legend.

I don't know about on the pitch, but I wouldn't mind him in the Directors Box; if only to see the team playing, and congratulating the manager and players.

Ally's demeanour was totally the wrong message to send out to the players on the park and the fans. As a player and manager of our great club he should have known better. Given his character and skills in the media makes it even more surprisingf he did not attempt to gee the team or the fans up.
You are probably the only one who will disagree with my comment and suggest ally's complete lack of interaction with the team he managed on the park was constructive to good management.
(Your joke about the umbrella was quite good)

D'Art, of course I'm avoiding the point, because  there is no easy answer for me on this. Ally was Rangers manager, and personally I never thought of that job ever being 3rd Division, or any Division; he was manager of Rangers full-stop . If my pulse races approaching the Main Stand as a fan, how can I then say that a Rangers manager is anything else?

9 if you take away the games in hand they had. And it's not as though there was anything going on behind the scenes around that time that could have affected the players. Definitely not.

i was angry with Mccoist too but hes now back to Super Ally the legendry Rangers striker in my eyes. I think he deserves to be part of celebrations due to carrying rangers thru the worst year of all our lifes.
    Still money grabbin bassa though

Of course; we can still play at our full level. But this is a nice cushion to have on top of three league games in a row with only eleven games left.
