being called an idiot because I've taken offence to the CEO of Rangers FC calling an associate a 'Paki'. 'Paki' isn't a term of endearment. It has always been used as a derogatory word. From the day my [indian] grandparents stepped foot in the UK in 1955 they were abused with the word 'Paki'. When my dad was growing up in Govanhill he was abused with the word 'Paki'. Fast forward and I, myself, have experienced this on countless occasions here.
There is no context argument. It's an offensive word. I don't care where you grew up or what words you chose to use, it is offensive to me and the ethnic group to which I belong.
I don't know what I'm more angry at : CG's comment or the ammunition he's given those in the Asian community in Glasgow who consistently spread bile that Rangers are a "racist club"...

I'm afraid Green's old fashioned mindset does not apply to everyone. I'm not personally offended by it, but I know some that will be. Look at the OP for example, you might wish to dismiss him as an "idiot" but if his sentiment is genuine then offence has been caused. Charles Green can't choose who is offended by his comments, and neither can you.
Who's offended or not by this aside, I simply cannot understand why some cannot understand what a PR own goal this is.

I don't think we have played to badly and we certainly started well but I am still disappointed by the lack of intensity and tempo to our play....we don't need 3 central midfielders and aird needs to be a but more confident and take his man on....
Sandaza shows glimpses of real ability but to get the best out if him I think he needs a partner...when he drops deep it tends to subdue our attacks.
Still think ally has a big part to play here....if the second half just peters out then serious questions will need to be asked. About his ability to affect change in games!
