Similarly people have to take into account what we've lost and how far we've fallen when it comes to performances. I realise that we should be showing more but some people are expecting too much.
Anyway, my point is some people take their view to ridiculous lengths which just causes endless arguments and, worryingly, valid and salient points to be dismissed because people are on the defensive.

I am not assuming there is no alternative, I cannot for the life of me SEE a viable alternative! and have yet to see one suggested. Also as far as I can see the argument FOR sacking the manager is very very weak!

Do you go to the expense of sacking the manager and replacing him to achieve exactly what McCoist is going to achieve but with slightly better football (we'll still have the same average squad, there is no money to improve it)?
What benefit will come of it?
Do you honestly believe that with the state the club is in at the moment, it is a worthwhile gamble to throw away money sacking and replacing a manager to achieve something McCoist is nailed on to achieve?
If you are asking for the manager to be sacked, surely you must have alternatives/ideas, you cannot just be blindly asking for him to be sacked. Or, you are trusting the board to get it right for you (Ahem)

I have to be honest, I certainly wouldn't be backing him as strongly as I am but, it is because of everything that man has done for this club he DESERVES our backing. Maybe, just maybe, the negativity from certain fans criticising the manager and players so strongly is what is holding the club back.
Last year, he played with the younger lads and won a weak league easily. The football wasn't great, but we moved onto stage 2 successfully. Week in week out the lads were slagged for their performances. If we, as a support, had backed the young players to the hilt, maybe they would have had more confidence to take the ball, improved and grown as players, rather than looking like rabbits caught in the headlights. But we didn't back them we moaned, moaned and moaned again. (Couldn't have been good for the confidence)
So, onto stage 2. Lets bring in a load of average SPL players as its clear the kids are not improving. We start the season quite well, scoring goals and flying out the blocks. More or less sew the league up early and performances start to drop off. What do we do? Support the team and encourage them to do better? Do we f**k! Lets moan and complain.
Why not wait and see what happens in the cup this year where we can hopefully have a run and play some of the bigger teams? How will our new squad perform against an SPL side where motivation clearly wont be a problem?
Come on guys I believe Ally deserves our support. Why not get right behind him and the lads and see where it takes us?

I just realized why I get angry at threads like this, it's like people are attacking my team, I'm just not finding the constructive criticism easy to take. I see all these people saying we will struggle against full time teams, well the Pars are a full time team and our direct competition, we played them twice and both times they were defeated, can we take anything from that, when we beat them in the Scottish cup can we take anything from that.

Would love to get a foreigners/outsiders perspective.

How can some people not accept that going to a Rangers game as a Rangers supporter makes you a representative of the club and any actions you partake in will be linked to the club whether you like it/agree with it or not?

Was in Glasgow to watch the parade, great crowd, good music but some of the typical idiots, can't slate them for what they were doing too much,done the same thing when I was a teenager..although there was one thing that I especially didn't agree with. One of the many positives, the amount of tourists waiting for the parade to come past. Any other country would market this as a reason to visit but smallmindedness ( if that's a proper word) prevents this big small country from doing just that.

People need educated about it's origins cause it's a celebration of freedom not a protest against something!!
I always try and defend our culture but it is increasingly difficult due to the amount of scum who walk longside the parade.
You only have to look on Twitter to see that everyone outwith the PUL community detests the orange walk. People don't feel safe due to the followers, the scum who don't stand and watch the parade but wal alongside trying to intimidate those they pass and be confrontational with joe public. These people need sorted out asap or the parade will be gone in a decade.

Don't think there's much can be done about them to be honest. I'd imagine if it wasn't for all the twats complaining about the walks and classing them as controversial etc. then the neds probably wouldn't see them as a naughty rebellious occasion and wouldn't bother. They don't seem to follow Salvation Army marches...

but you can't put together a new squad out of thin air
personally i think the best way forward is to snap up good players from the lower leagues who have proved their worthg already in those divisions rather than get in expensive prima donnas who don't fancy mucking in at places like Elgin and Arbroath
