People have had opinions and had discussions on what managers and players have done rightly or wrongly since the day that football was invented. Having a glittering CV doesn’t mean that a person won’t make mistakes and it doesn’t mean they are immune from criticism either.

That game was crying out for Jones after 60-70 minutes were his pace could have been a massive weapon, why doesnt SG seem to like using his subs. I think it cost us massively last year and he doesn't seem to be learning. Will it cost us this year as well?? I'm loving what he's done to the club in terms of standards etc so don't mean to be too critical, but just failing to see his plan with subs!! 

So why not make subs. Does my head in tbh!!! 

Is that not the perfect time to bring on the likes of Jones for a tiring Ojo though?
Gives us a player who is fresh enough to carry the ball 20-30 yards up the park due to his pace and help take the pressure off  and gives us a player who could get in behind them on the counter attack.

What a load of pish about complaining over nothing. As you said sub's are not compulsory but a good manager knows when to make subs that change a game, unfortunately that's something Gerrard hasn't really learned yet and as a few others have pointed out Gerrard generally waits too long to make subs or makes the wrong choices which have cost us dearly in the past and as yet has shown no signs of fixing that. 
If you think that's nonsense then you really need to learn a bit about how subs can impact games

I thought we needed subs last night and was annoyed when they didn't happen , 
Last season against rapid was the same though and he didn't change it and we get the 2 late goals , so can understand sometimes why they (manager's) dont and trust they have the team and tactics right

Score draw and we're out. Not saying its a bad result but don't think Ojo is so indespensible that we couldn't have given Jones a go (especially with his recent form) Best form of defence being attack and all that!!

Can think of literally no reason to not make the Jones for Ojo sub after 70 mins. Ojo had put a shift in but had run his race. Wasn’t offering anything going forward and looked the most likely to cost a goal with his tracking back.
Gerrard has done a cracking job for us but his passive attitude to substitutions is a massive flaw imo 

Had to watch on Bet365 in the end, with Polish commentary. Worth checking them now and again if other legit streams fail. 

Not sure what goes on in people's head that use child abuse as some sort of banter... Think you're the suspect one mate.

What a strange comment. 

I can't see how anyone can seriously argue that a knackered player is better on the pitch than someone raring to go unless it's obviously ronaldo or some other talisman. Not sure Ojo is that player yet. 

We had no out ball, everything was coming straight back at us. From about the hour mark Ojo offered nothing. He actually struggled to track back as was out on his feet, he'd put a good shift in and was done in. 
Jones should have been brought on for him. Fresh legs, no change to system. Anything he did would have been more than Ojo was doing, so it was a no brainer.

I love Gerrard but the lack or lateness of subs is going to hurt us sooner or later. We looked spent and were hanging on for a 0-0 at best.
In the end 0-0 is a good result but imo we looked a poorer team in the 2nd half and barely threatened.

If anything Jones would’ve made us a bit more solid defensively, Ojo barely tracks when he has energy never mind when he was shattered 

Changing a winger surely would not destroy the shape that much ?
Three minutes to go time wasting is not a good use of the subs bench in my opinion

So why not make subs. Does my head in tbh!!!
