I'm stunned that you're stunned. Regardless of crime I firmly believe everyone should be presumed innocent until such time as they are proven guilty.

My thoughts on Gascoigne are that he is entitled to the presumption of innocence. If he's found guilty then he should be punished accordingly, if not then it may be in his best interests to withdraw from 'public' life and surround himself with people who are more interested in his quality of life rather than those interested in the size of payday he can make them.

I'm kidding that the presumption of innocence is one of the cornerstones of the British and Scottish justice systems? Nope. Has been the case for a long, long time.

At his absolute peak he was barely good enough. Horrific defender and dreadfully one paced. I think he's happy just to pick up his wage until his contract ends.

He’s not in the squad for Europe so can’t play. 

I think it was after the St Mirren game that I compared what we are doing now to Klopp when he first went to Liverpool in the sense that even though some results weren’t the best if you looked at the bigger picture you could see that they were actually going in the right direction and I think that’s sort of where we are now. 
On the positive side our record at home is strong, we are doing well in Europe and we have a stronger squad than we did last year or the year before but on the flip side we are piss poor away from home, we keep conceding sloppy goals and we still have players playing bigger roles for us than there talent suggests that they should.
We are very much a work in progress.

Whilst becoming a professional athlete - and maintaining that - is a breeze. I might do it if I get bored of this writing lark.

Just because it isnt physically taxing doesnt mean that it isnt taxing... I work in music, and have done at the highest level for a long time, and know first hand what mental fatigue can do to you. It can be just as destructive as physical fatigue - that is just a fact. Time off at the right time can really maintain your performance long term.

You cant just pick and choose how many games each player playes to suit your argument  

Why would we not count the games Katic kept Worrall on the bench when he first signed?
