    A former "striker" 🤔 Screenshot_20240222-110010.thumb.png.bdad8f4125ac358f4fbb95ee3e3b3d00.png

Dunno why he's talking shite about Tav though, 12 goals this guy scored in his whole career, maybe jealous Tav has 108 more as a defender.

Tavs scored more goals for us than Park has career appearances.

I see the rags are saying they turned down the chance to get hooijdonk so the could get the bloke from Norwich, i would image there was option for them to turn him down!

Some of the taigs were saying he was waiting on them and then no concrete offer materialised so he took the Norwich offer.

Giving away their best player for free now how would that benefit them 🤣 that said I hope they do and fuck them

They won't be giving him away for free but, FFP comes into it for Atletico so this is a way they can get around it until the summer.

If you are an NFL fan this reminds of how the ref fucked over the Lions on Saturday night against the Cowboys and now the NFL is trying everything they can to say yes, the ref was correct, when he clearly fucked it.

Did they not come out and say the referee team that done that match will not be involved in post season action ?

Yeh maybe - I’ve never played CB but didn’t think he did much wrong once we were put in that scenario.

If he dives in you likely give a foul away which is much more dangerous.

Stay on your feet, you slow the play down hopefully and allow the team to recover.

He shifts him onto his weak foot. Finding the top bin with your weak foot to beat Butland is a 1 in 100 finish.

Just before kyogo gets the ball Goldson is spinning around in panic stations, there is blame to go around and it is a brilliant finish but small margins costing us from the same players as always.

I'm not convinced. VAR has been as big a mess in England and the standard of refereeing is only marginally better. I'm not impressed by European referees in our games there either. I would rather referees had to declare which team they supported or had supported in the past.

As incompetent as the refs are if we were to do that you would end up with no refs in Scotland, the vast majority in this country support either us or them, if you say you can't referee the leagues showcase game plus cup semi finals and finals because you support us or them then you basically take away half the pool you can pick from.

My point is how extreme the views are, his actual performance was middling and came down to a couple of key moments that could have gone the other way. There were plenty of times he took the ball in tight situations and used his body/skill well to keep possession but he’s had no credit for that.

Now multiple posters have the knives out, wanting him gone, saying Windass was better etc. - it’s OTT.

His decision making the full game was terrible and has been for a while, would either overplay it when a pass was on or he would try a pass when he had a chance to take on his man, also gave the ball away numerous times when he wasn't passing backwards.

He has quality but he needs to rediscover his form of last season or he will be shown the door pretty quickly.

Let’s be honest - In the 1st half McGregor never kicked a ball.

Dessers and Cantwell covered him when the other was closing the ball down and it worked a treat

Not sure what happened in the 2nd half as he was more involved

I don’t see it with him but he seems to pick up the MOTM against us every time….

There was at least 3 times in the 1st half when Mcgregor picks the ball up and neither of those 2 are anywhere near him, there was even one were Cantwell was 5 yards away from Mcgregor and decided instead of pressing him he would get a light jog in behind him, never mind the countless amount of times he gave the ball away stupidly.

Another big game he has gone missing, front 4 were shocking yesterday so it wasn't exclusively just Cantwell but would bin him in January, at the very least he needs taking out the first team for a bit IMO.

After Tav had just scored a beauty…

Cantwell for me takes too many touches on the ball and whilst a good player, I think he believes he is better than he actually is.  Needs to keep it simple, move the ball faster and stop trying to take people on all the time.

He will happily try and take on 3 or 4 players in the middle of the park but he recieved the ball out wide today when we were on the counter and would be 1v1 with there full back, he instead tries to pass it inside to dessers and makes a meal of that as well, his decision making all together today was terrible as it has been for a couple of weeks now.

    Just thinking to myself.

Is tonight bigger than Dortmund away?

On the results alone, not in context of how the season panned out with getting to the final?

    I think it's up there.

Definitely has the potential to be a bigger result than Dortmund away, kind of result that could totally transform our season but we need to keep this going now into Sunday.

  11. Personally hope not to see Cantwell for a few weeks, embarrassing performance before he was correctly hooked off, Cifuentes and Lammers should have been off with him as well.

On Lammers its a bad day when you would happily see one of your own players sent off but I was hoping the ref was going for a red instead of yellow after his foul, playing him is like giving the opposition a 12th man, consistently gives the ball away and just gets in the road of everybody on the pitch.

I thought someone had said it had dropped down to just over 1000 at the weekend. Can’t see it going lower though. Unfortunately for me.

It did, my mate got in by one game but im still about 50 points off.

Pretty sure I got the Semi final ticket 2 weeks before the game so hoping its same scenario this time.

You can still blame the board for going with Beale in the first place.

Not when the current board never picked Beale, can criticise the length of time it took them to sack Beale but that's about it for me.

Excited with this appointment and the board seem to have went through an actual process in hiring Clement instead of the usual easy choice.

These two are the least of our problems; we have no goalscoring strikers that can be depended on, we have nothing in midfield to control the game going forward or to defend. We have no one capable of replacing them.

Those two should be very high on the list of problems, a pair of losers with a cowardly mentality that has seeped through the club.

Not having to explain myself again, look further into it rather than purely the stats and know what the Eredivisie is all about.

Your talking pish simple, they had a shaky start to the season but have been flawless since the international break.

The guy who has managed 12 first team games in his whole career?

    Ok, let’s take another gamble

Been AZ manager since 2020, don't think he would consider us as the Ajax job looks likely to open up again and I can see him being a top candidate.

His AZ team are also currently 2nd, would be mad to leave that for our current mess.

Both have knocked back Ajax and others, won’t be near us and accept my two suggestions most likely won’t be either!

The only thing that gives me hope with Knutsen is he has knocked most these jobs back saying he wouldn't leave during Bodo's season, still a longshot.

    Oliver Glasner

    Julian Loputegi

Doubt either will come with fuck all money to spend right enough

Left Wolves because he had fuck all money so no chance he is coming here.

Knutsen or Gallardo for me if possible but really don't think it will be either of them, wouldn't be against Muscat but would just seem like another lazy appointment.

It’s an absolute myth that Colak wasn’t good enough for us btw the guy had practically a goal every 2 games for us and that was after Beale came in and restricted him to a bit part player because he supposedly didn’t fit his style of play.

    Colak - 18 goals in 39 appearances.

Compare that to Morelos in his last 3 seasons for us:

    22/23 - 12 goals in 45 appearances

    21/22 - 18 goals in 42 appearances

    20/21 - 17 goals in 44 appearances.

He wasn't good enough to be the starting striker at us I didnt feel but would have happily kept him around as a squad player, for some reason Beale never rated him from day one.

Dessers supposedly fits Beales system whatever it may be.
