The fact he turned us down should be the end of that however McInnes is used to setting up teams domestically being hard to break down and beat. That's not what's required.

Totally get what you mean about some games just being a case of “job done” but in the scenario where that is part of a successful season those games are the minimum performance level / where the team has dipped and just seen it through.
 
Under Beale (and to be honest for a while now) our “job done” games are the peak of our performances.

Todd Cantwell has shown that he is the sort of attack minded talent that you centre and build your entire attack around. 
Stop shunting him all over the place, play him as a number ten with creative licence and instruct our other players to get him on the ball as often as possible.

I don't know - you could be right about that. It would make sense, as something has obviously changed for the worse. 

To be fair mate, souttar didnt cover himself in glory, but there has been a constant in the defense for going on 4 years now and its goldson. He appears to be immune to any criticism and every one else appears to be at fault.  Hes supposed to be the rock the team is built on, and in my opinion, and it would be good to hear yours, hes a bombscare.

No disgrace in being beat by a much better team which we were but the manner of it was shocking. The signs are not good to say the least and it leaves me hoping against hope and all the evidence that he can turn this round. I simply cant be fucked with the whole searching for a new manager circus every 18 months or less. It wears you down.

There's been something not right about the defensive coaching, especially for set-pieces, for a very long time.  Beyond that, although it's an unpopular opinion, I would say that any team building its defence around Goldson is likely to have problems at set-pieces.

True, but at least we had the excuse that McGregor would never come off his line.
