Should he be sacked for it? No, its a fairly mild dig from a supporter of our rivals, which is laughable given how their fans got panned worldwide for their abundance of mankieness. It was made at a time when he wasnt in a position of power and I dont  really find it offensive to be honest.
Do I want him sacked for it? Yes, fuck them. This is exactly the kind of pedantic shite they have tried to do for years, constantly blowing tiny things like this up for PR spin. Fuck them. Int he name of sporting integrity, he must be sacked.

A lot of this I've said a few times before, but at the risk of repeating myself.
McGregor I'm not fussed about. My issues with Foderingham were the same issues I had with McGregor and that's they both got beat from too many long-range shots being too far off their line and not as commanding as they shout be at set-pieces, although both really good reflex/reaction shot-stoppers.
Arfield will be a great signing IMO. I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Barton, Nico or even Dorrans to a lesser extent in that they came with a good pedigree from the EPL but didn't do it for us (Dorrans case he's not done it yet but there's still time) ... but he'd defo a player I'm happy to sign. We can't stop signing players with good pedigree's because a couple previously didn't work out. I think he's similar to the way Armstrong is for them, in that he's a competent and strong midfielder who's matured into a good player with a lot in his locker.
My confidence levels depend on who else we sign but equally importantly who we ship out too. If it meant more money into the transfer pot then I'd cash in on Tav, Windass and Morelos. They all offer us something but only sometimes. That's not good enough. I have doubts on their consistency and mental strength to play for Rangers considering everything we need from our top players.
Alves, Pena and Rossiter are 3 we must get off the wage-bill and save ourselves somewhere in the region of 65k per-week. Even if we spend a small fortune doing it to save a small fortune in return then that's fine.
Obviously try and cash in on Herrera, Cardoso and O'Halloran.
Rip up the contracts of Halliday, Wallace, Miller, Hodson, Dodoo, Forrester.
Dalcio & Martin return to their clubs end of loan.
Sign Murphy and Cummings on the pre-determined fee's of 700 and 600 grand.
Whoever the new manager is really needs to sign a whole new backline including full-backs who can defend and position themselves and 2 commanding center halfs.
Have John, Holt, Docherty and Jack as capable squad options when we sign a much higher caliber of player for our first XI contentions.
I have a strange sense of hope in the summer before every new season starts, even if deep down I knew under the likes of McCoist, Warburton and Pedro we would be onto shit and not trusting the decisions of the people that run our club.
It looks like it's Steven Gerrard as our new manager. I can't get excited or on board yet. It depends on who he signs and who we get rid of. I can see some advantages of him being the manager, but an over-riding feeling that it's another massive risk and gamble that won't pay off. I think I may get used to the idea after a few days but if this gamble doesn't pay off, for the first time ever I think it would be time for a large-scale boycott until this lot are gone because this would be one bridge too far. There would be nothing to lose from doing it this time as the taigs would have their ten in a row so that's a game changer for me and drastic action would be essential.

I have today sent the below letter to the Directors of Rangers Football Club. I hope others will look to do the same in order that we gather some sort of momentum for action and change.

    Dear Mr King,
I write to you as Chairman and a Director of Rangers Football Club following the totally unacceptable 4-0 defeat to our biggest rivals on Sunday 15th April.
In March 2015 Mr King assumed boardroom control. You and the other Directors have reigned during a time of embarrassing and disgraceful results – some of the worst in our history. Only twice in my life have I left a Rangers game early, both of these games were under your tenure – the 5-1 defeat to celtic at Ibrox and the 4-0 defeat to celtic at Hampden. I simply could not watch any more.
The loyalty of myself and other Rangers fans cannot be questioned. I and many others have followed Rangers through the hard times, with administration, liquidation and expulsion to the bottom tier of Scottish football being the lowest of them all. I and many thousands of others followed Rangers home and away as we made our return to the Scottish Premiership. We now feel that this loyalty is being taken for granted by the current administration at the Club. We have only won Scottish Challenge Cup and the SPFL Championship since the takeover in March 2015. It is totally unacceptable that our next chance of silverware will be in 2019 - 4 years since the takeover. By then we will have been 8 years without the League, 10 years without the Scottish Cup and 9 years without the League cup.
It has not helped that the Club seem to go from one managerial disaster to the next. The resignation of Mark Warburton, David Weir and Frank McParland in February 2017 was a disaster and took several days to be confirmed. The appointment of Pedro Caixinha on a three-year deal in March 2017 was followed by a 5-1 defeat to celtic at Ibrox in the April, losing for the first time to Aberdeen in 26 years in the May, and being humiliated in Europe by Progres Niederkorn in the July. Records were being broken but not the kind we want. It took the board until the October to sack Caixinha. Then there was the embarrassing and very public McInnes debacle which left Rangers without a viable replacement for Caixinha. The public pursuit of McInnes ruled out all other managerial options which may have been in consideration at the time. After all, who would want to be the second choice? This was a careless and costly error.
With seemingly no other option available, Graeme Murty was henceforth appointed as manager for the rest of the season with no experience of managing a club before, never mind one the calibre of Rangers. In this appointment, the Board effectively wrote-off the 17/18 season when we were still very much in contention for silverware. It is clear Murty’s team selections and tactics have been woeful. After Sunday he has clearly lost the confidence and respect of the team, and certainly the support of the fans. The players, manager and directors owe the Rangers fans a public apology for that humiliating display. How and why the Board continue to support Murty is unknown. It is imperative that he is now removed before we play the remaining 5 games of the season which are so important in determining where we finish in the league. We need to recover some pride.
It is apparent that there is a lack of any sort of public relations or communications strategy. This is evident through the managerial controversies with Warburton, Weir, McParland and McInnes. More recently, during the January transfer window, had the Club reacted quicker, the rumours circulating around the future of Alfredo Morelos and the transfer fee would have been silenced. Now the latest controversy follows after Sunday and surrounds several players - Kenny Miller, Lee Wallace, Alfredo Morelos, Greg Docherty, Andy Halliday and Daniel Candeias. Again, rumours are circulating. Our slow and weak response to events, in and out of the Club makes us a laughing stock to other football fans and to the press. Becoming proactive is key in once more establishing the respect we deserve.
In light of the above, it is difficult to understand how the Board can expect fans and others to invest money into the Club whether through share issues or season ticket renewals. The Board has shown little or no evidence that it can be trusted. How can fans be expected to renew their season tickets when the next managerial appointment is unknown? How can fans trust the Board to appoint a successful manager when the appointments of Caixinha and Murty have been disastrous? For too long the Board has taken the loyalty of the fans for granted. The Board has shown little competence to date. It is now time to either show the fans you merit the status as directors of Rangers Football Club, or you consider your resignation.

Unless we get a manager in I won’t be renewing. Same seat in the Copeland since it was opened and this is the worst I have felt. We will now get the shite about chasing for 2nd,how embarrassing. From top to bottom we are a disgrace, how can the cunt that appointed Pedro still be in a job? I suppose I will now get abuse from the Uber fans but fuck them, this isn’t even a good tarrier side yet we are shit scared of them. Where do we go from here ,fuck knows and it is frightening

Certainly a question that will divide opinion..
Some on here actually felt we were in with a shout of winning the league under the hapless Murty just a few weeks ago. No, seriously, they did!
Others were telling us that very few celtic players would get into our starting 11. No, seriously, they were.
The mouthing off and over-confidence came back to bite them on the arse as they dismissed what they called a " piss poor celtic team " left Ibrox once again with all three points in the bag.The more astute posters here on RM saw that result coming. It was in the post.
I just hope lessons have been learned as we approach the semi final against them.
Anyway, going back to the original question: I reckon we're an absolute minimum of 5 quality signings and a proper Manager away from going toe to toe with them for the league next season.
A Keeper, because Wes is basically shite. Two Centre Backs in the mould of Cuellar and Bouguerra. A box to box creative midfielder such as Steven Davis, and a striker in the Jelavic mould.
Clear out the deadwood - and there's a lot of it - spend the money on a better level of player and a proper manager.  No more excuses from dithering Dave.

    We're going nowhere under him.
The man seems totally incapable of identifying a proper Manager and bringing him to Ibrox.
The supporters have backed the club to the hilt and we really do deserve so much better than The Loaf, The Bullfighter and the hapless Murty.
None of these guys should ever been appointed in the first place.
The transparency he promised us was just another play on words.
Please fuck off Dave. You're not fit to be Chairman of Rangers!

How true is this post? Without going off in a rant this is exactly how I see it, worded perfectly. It was done with such hostility that anything king and the rest might do when they got in, we the fans were all supposed to look back to the ones who were in before and then thank King and the board for saving us. He hasn’t and will never fool this bear I was gutted he got passed as fit and proper to take over us. I can’t stand the guy but he has sheep who blindly follow him and believe everything he says. It feels like we are going backwards under his watch. I can see us finishing 3rd or 4th as I’m struggling to see where the points are coming from. Sad times

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”
    (George Santayana)

Allow me to summarise briefly. The Panel of Takeovers and Mergers ruled that the current custodians of our club did not act properly in their acquisition of same, determining they had acted as a concert party and consequently, having control of 30% of the business were thus compelled to make an offer to investors for the remaining shares.
This was denied by Dave King who took the decision to the Court of Session where his legal argument was rejected by Lord Bannatyne. The Advocate for the takeover Panel highlighted during the hearing an e-mail from George Letham to Dave King which cautioned King about the consequences of exceeding the 30% benchmark. These warnings clearly went unheeded.
Subsequently King was ordered to make an £11 million offer to the Club’s remaining shareholders despite the fact  King’s lawyer argued that his client could not afford to make such an offer.
If alarm bells are not sounding amongst our support – they certainly should be.
When Laura Fawkes, a Director of Club 1872, challenged Dave King at the 2017 AGM with regard to the recruitment of a replacement manager, the timescales as well as apparent failure to put in place previous assurances given with regard to succession planning, Dave King responded as follows:
“As far as the manager, I don’t accept the comment you’ve made. It’s difficult to put a time limit on it. The issue with Pedro was not one of succession planning, there’s maybe a perception that Pedro was doomed to failure. It wasn’t my view, I don’t think it was the board’s view, we continued to back Pedro. Ultimately results speak for themselves and having taken action we were extremely aware that this is going to be a 3 year appointment. We have got to be a careful we don’t let adverse results distract us from the process and I’m personally happy that we have taken the correct amount of time.”
After 68 days we had still failed to appoint a new manager and eventually installed the youth coach Graham Murty, as temporary manager. That remains the status quo at the time of writing.
Our club is one home defeat away from our worst ever series of home performances on record. In terms of assessment of our club’s progress, rebuilding and vision to reclaim the top spot in domestic football, it serves as more of an indictment than a positive indicator of continuous and steady improvement.
I would hope by now the alarm bells are loud enough to suggest a major headache is imminent.
Any honeymoon period which the current board deserved is now at an end. It is fine being beholden to them for rescuing us but they need to be judged by the job they are doing now and if that is deemed unsatisfactory or below standard then criticism should be forthcoming.
    Not silence.

If you want safe standing then the club can work out how much it will cost per seat say £2500 per head.  How many will pay that ?
No you think us season ticket holders and shareholders should pay for this luxury? Are you prepared to pay say £3k for the price to change it and say a new season ticket next season?
Thought not and as for reception? What a few wee claps  ???, dream on as it will never happen in the Copland and even if it did those people already there would get first refusal, These so called fans seem to think they are better than those that have been around for decades?    This is everything that is wrong at Ibrox.

Personally think the fact that we're a broad church of supporters is one of the fantastic things about being a fan of Rangers.
The fenians are such a bunch of sheep; They all claim to be IRA supporting, Irish Republican, Palestinian, Basque terrorist suppoeting arseholes.  I'm delighted we've got a proper lot of different types of people that love The Rangers.
I'd actually doubt there's a Club in the world that's got such a diverse group of genuine supporters that are so passionate about our club. Not plastic fans but proper genuine fans is unreal.
Anyone that would support us and cheer a goal against the fenians is good enough for me ?
