Just a quick thank you to the board and the directors, Dave King, the three bears and for everyone who makes being a Rangers supporter one of the greatest feelings imaginable. 
I don't really know how to put into words the rollercoaster of being a fan since 2012 has been and despite not winning the league this years after the way we strolled it last year just isn't in my vocabulary. 
From the lows of the Craig White days, came even darker days especially when we lost Walter and Jimmy to the highs of 55 and  4 goals in Dortmund all I can really say about it all is that I'm so proud to be part of this family and honestly hold it almost as dearly as my own. 
After what we have all been through this season I promise that I'll stop ripping the piss on this site (although you guys make it so easy 😆) .
The people who have met me in real life know exactly what I'm all about, just a pity that we have a few bully's in our support who like to gang up on the occasional new member and seem to think you're better than them for whatever reason?? 
If there's any true taigs on the site, which I would never be shocked to see, then raise it with an admin and let them take it from there. There's so many older posters from this site who only post on follow follow these days it's actually depressing.

Not child abuse but I work in injury claims so the same sort of principles apply. While this is a group action all the claims will be different in terms of effect and value. The length of the abuse is only relevant in how it affects the outcome.
Some people will have gone on to work normally but will still get damages for the psychological effect. Others not unreasonably will potentially have become recluses and not worked at all or never fulfilled their potential. They may have needed a lot of looking after. That leads to more damages. Some killed themselves tragically. That leaves bereft relatives who will also be entitled to claim. 
I suspect at present thompsons main focus is in establishing liability. They need to establish that celtic owed these kids a duty of care. From a professional point of view I think they will succeed in that. Kids are vulnerable. The duty is higher. Once that's done they get busy on quantifying the claims. 
It's not just the damages though. The costs of pursuing and defending it will be huge. I'd suspect that while it would be preferable for them to come up with standard values it wouldn't work that way. 
Just remember thompsons and their lawyers will have big teams ploughing through loads of documents and statements at £100-£200 per hour.
Sorry I don't post much but I hope this is helpful. The long and short is this could prove massively expensive. Even more so because these kids were full of potential. On their way to being professional footballers. If they end up a basket case their potential earnings come in to play. 
I'm happy to try to explain more. I'm not qualified in Scotland but I deal with some Scottish cases for medical malpractice. The principles are broadly similar. 
As for non disclosure there would still be the admission damages were paid. And in most right thinking peoples book that means guilty.  

Should not be allowed anywhere near youth football 

The brass neck of this shower really is unbelievable,  how about compensating the youth abused by your wonderful  club for the past 55 years or more likely  134 years of misery inflicted on the innocent weans who only dreamed of playing football until your evil coaches pounced on them , if you know your history .

Almost certain that any settlement will be conditional upon silence. I really hope that some resist the money and drag these terrible crimes out into the light.

Couple of questions about this:-
1. If the scum finally settle on the first morning (which I expect), do all the accusers have to agree or is it down to each individual, even though this is a collective action? I ask because there will be those who would settle for a sizeable sum but others want their story told and damn the payoff.
2. In the situation where the group decide to settle, is each case settled for the same amount? Or is there a sliding scale based on impact, length of time the abuse lasted, the scale of offence etc?
I have no doubt that the vermin will convince many to take the money but I hope that at least a few resist and expose the atrocities committed for all to see.
