As stated in that interview Barton said sending him home would leave him open to all sorts of speculation so I'm quite happy for him to defend himself.
Warburton's often spoke of it taking time for the new players to gel. That doesn't excuse the likes of Halliday, Wallace , Kiernan, Mackay - none of whom have kicked a ball since the cup semi final. They know exactly what is expected and have been falling well short of expectations. So if Barton was getting it tight after having played just 5  fucking games, then he is also quite right to give some back, because quite frankly we have been utter shite despite what Warburton's been saying. I'm no big fan of Barton  but he's been far from our worst.

Just rewatched highlights of the Cup semi-final there to whet the appetite for tomorrow.
We really need to keep it tight at the back. If we do we have more than enough up front to cause them problems. Our attacking options are excellent: MOH, Forrester, McKay, Miller, Waghorn, Garner and Miller!! I'm licking my lips already!
What a selection headache MW has. He'll probably go for experience over youthful exuberance, but hopefully we don't see Barton and Krancjar start together as that slows us way down.
Would like us to start with the pace of Windass and MOH, but tbh I expect the latter to come on as a sub when the game is stretched.

Whilst that's great I personally don't think that the fans should be banned until they have a guilty verdict! The board can't replay the matches these fans will miss because of the boards need to appease.
Whatever happened to innocent until found guilty?
