Buy the wee man the kit, it's far more important to get a kid an infinity and a Rangers identity than worrying about a club dispute with Mike Ashley, utterly depressing seeing less and less kids with Rangers tops on while that mob seem to be multiplying on a weekly basis... this strip boycott might sound good in theory but in practice all it has ever done is massively dilute Rangers visual presence in Glasgow, my worry isn't for the already going Rangers fans but the 5-10 year olds who aren't being afforded this right of passage, we're in danger of losing a generation

This whole D.o.F thing is weird, there was no way in hell Ross Wilson would leave Southampton for us, anyone who read his interview in the Mail last month could've predicted that, he has 60 staff working for him, every region covered, extensive knoweldge of all the under 9s within an hour of their training base and a world wide networking system.

He's on the cusp of anwave, when he leaves Southampton it'll be to an Arsenal or a Man Utd or teams of that ilk, the D.o.F project at Ibrox while being just as important would be small fry compared to what he's helped build at down South, he'll be on top dollar too, I said at the time I'm more inclined to believe he would be assisting us on how to put a plan in place rather than do the job himself, if anything he has probably used our interest to his advantage and get himself more influence/money at St Mary's.

This was all bluster from the Board, no-one in their right mind would think someone would leave their role at a club so far advanced in that department to come here and work with the charlatans running this Football Club.

I'm not Championing McInnes here but I can see why others might, if you look at the improvement in Aberdeen in his four seasons compared to the previous four seasons without him you can see how well he's done.

it's taken that mob until May to clinch the title the last two Seasons so I'd say that it shows McInnes has pushed them, granted they fell away at the end of both those seasons but if we went into the Split still in the running then I'd always fancy our chances.

Aberdeen were a mess when he went there, hadn't won Trophy for 19 years, hadn't finished in the top 2 for 20 years and hadn't had back to back top 2 finishes for 22 years, he's achieved all that now and while that might not look a brilliant set of achievements, I think for anyone outside of us or the tims it is something worthwhile.

He knows the Scottish game inside out too which given our current financial predicament would be a major positive.

I'll reiterate that  I don't want McInnes but thats what he's done for the sheep

My problem with him is that a few times they got themselves into position where you were thinking they were genuine contenders and every time they fell apart.
Having said that (and like you I don't want it to be him) if all we are getting to pick from (excluding FDB) is that list of odds that keeps turning up I would take him.
If we have the budget to pay and fund a FDB type that would be fantastic, if that's the case we are shopping in a different market. Personally I don't see it - hope to be wrong (so much).

Frank de Boer's name will be in the frame until the first big intake of Season Tickets are renewed, I don't for one minute think we can afford him or give him the tools necessary to succeed.

I hate the fact that the countless charlatans running the club over the last 8 years have made me so instantly cynical to anything potentially positive but there's just a sense of de javu with shit like this.

I didn't make the original post. I said they can accept red lines, or they can go away. I don't know what you're not getting about that or how it can even be delusional. You're talking about their common recent model, which obviously wouldn't be acceptable.
And by the way, Red Bull have both bought over and rebranded organisations AND sponsored them in more traditional ways. So it's not an absolute either/or. Nowt wrong in discussing it with them if they were to approach. If they agreed to lines, fine. If not, goodbye. Or do they have some kind of mind-altering device that enables them to hypnotize fans and owners if we so much as engage with them?

I think Group stage football is a step too far too soon mate unless something drastic changes, we'll likely have 4 Euro ties to get into the groups, the last round, the Play-Off will be a beauty and the round before it will likely be a very capable team too - the next few years are going to be a real tough ask European wise

deluding yourself mate, I can understand why so some would hope that but they just don't do it, we can't say do it all costs then start expecting them to make exceptions to the rule

You take their coin you play by their rules, new name, new colours, new badge and intentionally ignoring the history of the football club, a horrible outcome IMO I'd rather watch a Rangers team be less successful than watch a team we don't recognise, who don't recognise our traditions and don't recognise our heritage, colours & badges included.

I want my boy to see Rangers in royal blue, with the badge we all know, with the club acknowledging our rich history, Rangers are an identity, you lose that you lose everything.

sounds good in theory mate but when you are faced with the reality of RB Rangers in white and red? their own badge and the club themselves not acknowledging history then it's not my cup of tea mate, we'd may as well go and watch another team

We'll win, this will be a common theme, we'll beat bottom 6 clubs at home, mainly comfortably, we'll get our hopes up of an up turn in fortunes then we'll get our baws booted the very next away game. Predictable as fuck

I fucking detest Traynor, he made Warburton look fucking ridiculous there, to send him back out again was schoolboy stuff, totally get the need to nip any Barton questions in the bud but fuck me there's way of doing things and the Rangers way should never involve that horrible, sweaty, odious, arrogant, ideas above his station fucktard Jim Traynor

I'd have seen Halliday as more of an attack minded player but he does seem to be settling into his role in the middle of the park. I'd probably agree about Barton and Rossiter playing at the same time in the current formation, they are quite similar.
I don't see the formation changing any time soon though.

Whether Barton spent 10 days in Qatar or 10 days in Blackpool the fact remains the same, with the system we play Barton doesn't fit in it unless we don't play Halliday/Rossiter because two of those three in a 3 man midfield takes away or dynamism
