The difference is Fergie had incredible quality all around him, he had time to bed in, Tillman hasn't got that luxury.

Watched Liverpool/Leeds last week and Alexander-Arnold was playing as a number 6 and it got me thinking if Tav could play there, he's a good footballer and is a brilliant dead ball specialist so he has to be in the team but there's no getting away from the fact he's a poor fullback defensively, great going forward but you can go all the way back to the Scottish Cup final in his first season right through to yesterday and his lack of awareness has cost us so many big games.
Whether he could play at CM I'm not sure but it's something I'd like to see Beale explore, we need a fullback we can rely on defensively.

Worth pointing out that early on in Barry Ferguson's career Old Firm games completely passed him by. After that first season or so we all know how much he went on to dominate these games. Ferguson was a bit younger than Tillman at the time IIRC but probably about the same stage of development in terms of number of first team games as a pro.
A others have said I don't think keeping him will be our decision anyway as I've heard that the player himself doesn't want to be here next season. Heard from a guy in the pub whose wife is friendly with Nerlinger's wife so take that with a huge pinch of salt 😂

These games define players, either by their skill or mentality and neither has been on show for Tillman in Old Firm's, I'm not saying we shouldn't sign him but if we're basing him signing on these games then it'd be a no.

Kent's performances in the season he came in on loan really excited me, thought he was gonna be the kid to rely on against them, he's flattered to deceive ever since, scored a couple of good goals, had a couple of assists, for the amount of games he's played he's just no done near enough.

Just back from Hampden, thought we played well in that we stopped them from playing but we offer absolutely nothing as an attacking force, all we've got is crosses or long diagonals, we desperately need creativity in the final third and a striker, fuck me we need a striker.
That should be Morelos last game for us, maybe give him an hour against Hearts in the last Ibrox game of the season to get a wave but he's finished, he's been done for a long time and today was just one last opportunity to let us down.
Kent's in the same boat, an utter shitebag, he crawled up his own arse since their new right back arrived and he's no come out of it since, looked totally feeble today.

He's our biggest goal threat, that in itself is embarrassing even though his numbers are phenomenal but once again he lets us down at the back post, he's a terrible defender and this is going to be third treble he's watched that mob win as our captain, think about that man three fucking trebles as a captain, I don't even know how that's possible, he isn't solely to blame but his individual errors have cost us for years and everything he does for us in an attacking sense can't mask the fact he's a monumental faulure as a defender, he's still making the most basic of errors at 30 years old that he was when he was 23 in the 2016 Scottish Cup Final.

Yeah I don't see where it's coming from given we made a shit ton of money last season and spent what little was available on utter shite like Matondo.
Some big decision need made and if we are to believe Beale its going to be the busiest summer in years (then again it goes against what he said weeks back).
This squad won't make the CL groups so we need the deals done from day 1 basically.

That's the way I see it but coming home from the game talking about this and nobidy was convinced we have that kind of money, the board need to make sure it's there, it's bad enough them winning the league every year but strolling trebles is humiliating.

Will need bare minimum 15 million before we sell anyone. If we can sell maybe get it up to 20 odd then we have the savings on big wages of Morelos and Kent.
If we don't see that level of investment it will be a rinse and repeat of this season
