  1. Just about sums the situation up, plus he’s still to adapt to the Scottish game. Once he builds some match sharpness and full fitness regardless of systems, he is a quality proven goalscorer in a top league. Think we will see the best of him (taking age in to account) following next seasons pre season...
  2. Absolutely, he is an intricate part of our play and would make the task of a real push at the title so much harder. He has ambitions to move on but I sincerely hope he wants to be part of potentially something special this season and can then get his move having picked up his first league winners medal...
  3. This is a great point, if nothing else comes of this season at least SG and the high standards he demands is a real positive which should again be the benchmark at the club...
  4. Just saw that, kick in the teeth for Clark, wonder what the dealings in the background were for this one?...
  5. I think regardless if we bring 55 back this season or not, over the last few months since the SG reign it’s been great just to see what I view as basic club standards resumed in conduct, play and pride. If we don’t win this league (which in my mind is there for the taking) at least this season to date had brought me some genuine feel good moments and a real belief (at long last) we may be back on track to being where the club should be in Scotland and beyond...
  6. Spot on, don’t think we will see a true reflection of him (good or bad) until next season with a good pre season under his belt...
  7. Never one for jumping on this bandwagon but this Hits the nail on the head. The level of publicity and air time being given to this is nothing short of ridiculous. No issue with the highlighting of perceived wrongdoing or incidents in matches but there is no parity in this from almost all of the usual suspects...
  8. Doing well to get through half of that nonsense...
  9. This is the ‘refer to type’ bitter celtic fans mantra and comfort zone where they take up their ‘ever the victim’ mentality. Personally I am loving the actual outrage and vitriol coming from their fans and excuses for journalists who just can’t help their bias, they just can’t take the thought of a Rangers on the rise...
  10. We certainly can👍. BBC for whatever reason does appear to be the worst by far at the moment but hopefully SG can guide us to success and their opinion/ comment will become as irrelevant in the eyes of the wider public as it is in our own...
  11. This is the crux of the situation in my mind, parity is all I look for in these games both during the game from the officials and in post match review. Sadly we have persons on high profile platforms who are unprofessional in their assessment due to their own preference or dislike of Rangers. These people will move on with time and hopefully be replaced by real journalists...
  12. Though exactly the same, I can be the first to criticise but credit where credit is due...
  13. Spot on with this, the Rangers community should always be the priority moving forward👏
  14. Not to mention that the bulk of the playing squad were brought together at the beginning of the season having never played together before. SG and the DOF brought in signings who they believed could do a job for us but as we are well aware not every signing can carry the weight of the jersey. Having reviewed the squad in the first half of the season the litmus test will be who can be brought in to improve the team and how the team can eliminate inconsistencies with added quality. We have no doubt improved regardless of what’s happening elsewhere in the league or in the East end...
  15. Best forward and best goalkeeper in the league, by a distance👍
  16. They got their act together on the PR front with John Reid’s appointment to the board. Hard as it was to take he still carried power and influence from his time in government and I have no doubt this impacted on HMRC’s strategy in their dealings with us. L’well is another devious (sleekit) character who’s influence has been allowed to flourish in the Scottish game/ media practically unchallenged. As you said he is good at this and the sooner we have an equivalent character in place or he moves on from them the better...
  17. Was actually wondering that if this were any other player from another team would there already be the chat of potential POTY circling his form. Has there been so much of a dark cloud built up around AM now that this is a non starter. Personally, I hope he continues just the way he is progressing, his dissent issues aside (which are overly exaggerated, but there) he is without doubt an on fire talent that should be appreciated by all so called ‘neutral’ commentators and journalists for his footballing ability...
  18. Was scratching my head at that one also, bottom line is as for most things Rangers it’s easier for them to jump on the ongoing narrative than doing otherwise even when blatantly unfactual or simply incorrect...
  19. Ha, just watched that, bemused about the sliding in with ‘both feet’ comment. It looked to me like he tucked his feet back and the momentum took him in to the keeper impacting the shins and knees. Also noted earlier how the remote referee watching the game said it was a ‘yellow’ card however that was quickly swept aside as it didn’t fit the narrative...
