If we have a bump in the road during those games then I hope we don’t see people reverting to the sort of overly negative shit that we normally see because surely at this point even a blind man can see that we are going in the right direction under Gerrard.

Tavernier is on uefas merits one of the best performing defenders currently in the competition. He's playing for a team that's in with a shout of qualifying. He's performing at this level. It doesn't get any more objective than that. It's subjective you're confused with.
