That was poor judgement but how many managers get appointed after being approached when the previous man is still in place?
They virtually all step into dead men’s shoes so to speak.

Nah, too far. He wasn't "a cunt of a man" at all, he just wasn't good enough. People are losing their shit over this

Oh piss off with the Taig crap. Beale always posted on twitter about how much he loved us. He got the opportunity to come and it didn't work out for him. I am glad he is gone but why resort to calling him all the names under the sun. Fucking childish. Btw, I can easily prove I am a Rangers fan, and have probably supported them far longer than you have.

Absolutely not celebrating not just MB, but his staff losing their jobs, but it simply had to happen. Please get it right this time Rangers, please.

Glad to see a reasonable post. You would think the guy deliberately lost games by the tone of some of the posts already.

Beale is clearly finished as manager.  He can have no complaints, he had free rein to bring in his players and they have shown no sign of improvement, in fact they look worse than we had last season.  Still think he made to many changes in the one go but it was his decision and he will pay for it with his job.
I think now it’s how the decision and a new appointment is best managed.  We have two games between now and the international break in which they can leave Beale in charge or they sack him now and most likely have the Under 20 manager as interim.  Given the Hibs semi final disaster last season, I would opt to leave Beale in charge to the break, although neither option looks great.  This assumes they have no candidates lined up to take over in the next couple of days, which given our Boards previous lack of foresight, is unlikely.  If it takes a couple of weeks to line up and get a new manager then I think we wait, it’s imperative we get the right candidate this time.

Totally used to beat him over the head.
A far superior player to Lammers. A winning mindset too that some fans I think are mistaking for poor attitude. He's sat on the bench and watched some amount of shite over the past couple of seasons. I'd not be happy either.

Similarly, I hope people don’t write him off or be overly negative of him, when he misses a few games when Naismith may opt for experience and work rate over ability on the ball.

Consistent with my argument, they won a lot of their games early on last season and could then coast to victory in the second half.

I do agree with you that there are certain players, I suspect Roofe is an example, who are not willing to play with niggles.  Great player though he was, Artur Numan was another you were lucky to get 30 games a season from.  I also agree that if the team is struggling, the crowd constantly on your back, that certain players may not fancy it if they don’t feel 100pc.

The reported level of fitness training seemed to vary widely between Gio and Beale but we still end up with our players dropping like flies with injuries.  Similarly, we have changed our medical staff to no avail.
By law of averages, I think you can expect a reasonable number of injuries to occur each season but we seem to be getting more than our fair share.  The only thing I can put my finger on, is that we do play a lot of games combining Europe and domestic competitions, that must add up over time. Also, most of our games are pretty intense, a rightly demanding crowd wants wins at all costs and the players to go the extra mile to get them.  This is not helped by the continued failure of our team to put games to bed early on, it seems as if every week now we have go into the last 10-20 minutes either scrambling to hold on or to find winning goals from somewhere.

That’s me understanding of how it is done in England - no idea if we use the same system up here.

Think England use the entire goal line not just the goal, but essentially same thing. Set that as your reference line and have the meterage of both sidelines calibrated on the camera view so the line can be moved up the pitch keeping it parallel to the original reference plane.  Relies quite heavily on the pitch being set out pretty accurately to avoid the lines getting messed up.

Have wondered if there is a better system where we can simply set a drone located above the centre circle (would have to be high enough to not interfere with high kicks but we have indoor stadiums so must be calculable) get it positioned so that it is perfectly aligned between the centre of the two goals and the halfway line and you have an overhead view that you should then be able to pretty quickly drop perpendicular lines onto to set out where a player is.

Only other way I could see would be for players to have RFID chips in the boots / strips. Would mean a change in the way we view it as would probably just be one in each boot and then say one in the chest of the strip but could mean some of the more contentious ones where there is literally a toe or a forehead offside would disappear.

On what datum line are the cameras calibrated?  I wouldn’t have thought that the side lines, centre lines and byelines are set out by the groundsman to a very high level of accuracy, although I may be wrong.  If I was setting it out on an instrument, I would probably take the centre point of each goal, draw a datum line between them and take the offside line at right angles to that datum.  It could be that the side lines may not be fully parallel with, or the same length as the central datum line.
The cameras themselves, plus the reading of them, must have some plus and negative tolerance so there must always be some grey area even if small. One wonders who gets the benefit of the doubt in these cases or if they just totally ignore the instrument/reading tolerance.
You also have to think why the offside law was introduced in the first place, presumably to prevent the attacking team seeking an unfair advantage.  If that advantage cannot even be deciphered by the human eye, how can it be considered to be unfairly sought.  You would think that some reasonable margin of error (say 300mm) would be given to the attacking team to account for this.

Prefer to focus on the positives of his time with us.
Top goal scorer in European competitions as well as scoring his share domestically.
Hardly missed a game though injury in almost 5years.
Basically led the attack on his own for most of his time with us, in the process taking all kinds of stick from opposition players, fans and press alike.
Never gave us any great issues of the park despite him probably getting a lot of abuse from lowlife while out and about.
For me, it was quite sad the way it ended for him with us.  For a foreign player, he probably spent too long with us and lost some of his motivation when he didn’t get moved on (it was never any secret that he saw us a stepping stone).  I think also we overlook that his injury in 2022 was the first long term injury he had to come back from and it showed in his performance and him being out of condition.

All in all will look back fondly in his time with us.  Wish him well in the future.
