  1. Murty has to bring this up at each press conference when it happens. Doesn't even have to comment on the individual incident just that we seem to be held to a different standard. The quiet dignified approach is not working.
  2. What would you give for a Kevin Thomson on Keane style tackle on Lego. Ian Ferguson and Stuart McCall hunting them down in tandem. Mo Edu with That late winner. Willie Henderson beating Gemmell on the wing, going back and beating him again. JG facing up to half the scum team after clattering their keeper before reinforcements arrived. Ah fuck I'm old but the memories are still there.
  3. Last 5 Aus wickets down for only 13 runs. Shocker!!
  4. And the slight worry of Smith getting warmed up on 65.
  5. Damned if we do, damned if we don't. Any type of action such as boycotts are quite rightly frowned upon as it would hurt the club financially. We need to embarrass the board in to taking action or fucking off. Walkouts would make the media, demonstrations outside the main door, a man with a van,, get in touch with our SLO to make things happen ( sorry could not resist). And before folk jump in telling me to do it, 20 years ago I would have but as I'm basically housebound now there is not much chance. Something has to happen.
  6. Seems all our midfielders are very similar in type and skill level. You look back to previous teams where we had 1or 2 destroyers winning ball and breaking up play like McCall and Ian Ferguson, creative players like Gazza, Souness etc and a midfielder that could take on and beat a man like Laudrup. We also had wild card type players that could do something different like Albertz, Gio etc. When you go back through Rangers teams since I started going in the early 60's we always had a good mix of players bringing something different to the game not like todays carbon copies in midefield. I know we don't have the cash but at least try to sign different types of players who can be brought on as required. Everyone talks about getting a creative player in first but I would prefer a ball winner, hard man type of player as he can set the tone for the whole team. Oh what I would give for the two mentioned earlier - Ian Ferguson and McCall. If the one didn't get you the second one would. Fantastic!!
  7. Go on, give it your best shot. There'll probably be a queue later.
  8. The batting has been excrutiatingly poor for England. The Aussies batsmen have not had to be more than average apart from Smith who made me think of Tendulkar in his prime when the bowlers were beaten before they started their run up. The difference between fast and medium pace could not have been any more obvious when you look at the two bowling attacks and you know the England batting is hellish when they can't even take advantage of Nathan Lyons. Thank god Warne has retired. Agreed that Stokes would have made a difference but would not have covered for the other 10 players being so poor although Bairstow did well this test. You have to list every positive no matter how small.
  9. I'll bet that dressing room was absolutely buzzing after the Hivs game. The sheep results were good but against hivs to not play well, dodge a penalty decision, come from a goal down away from home must have been fantastic for the team. The more results that we get like that, the greater the confidence will grow within the team. In the 9IAR days even if the team were playing crap, or behind you just knew they were going to sneak it or blow the other team away with a late goal. We have a few players that survive on confidence like Windass and the more nights like that one the better they will play. Not only that but it will do damage to the other teams confidence over the long run. I bet you could hear a rosary bead drop in the hivs dressing room after the game. WATP
  10. Big Sam and 'Arry' would not be happy with a DOF. They might have to share the brown envelopes..
  11. Kenny takes the credit but I heard it was his neighbour. Murty needs to try and keep the system so swap people directly into the existing positions.
  12. Would love to know the answer to this. Is it because of something at Rangers, or is he just happy at the sheep.
  13. He's never made a strong statement in defence of the club about anything. Seems to be just a wage thief that appears to do nothing, achieve nothing but adds another layer between DK and the support.
  14. What is worrying is the type of decisions that are going against us. If you do/don't get a foul or penalty against there is a chance to rectify it in the game. On the issue of redcards you just have to look at Ryan Jack. Four given and two, maybe three are instantly rescinded. So tough we played these games a man down and could have lost the points. Bans also come into play so we can end up punished over 4 or 5 games. Now is the time to take this up with the SFA when we are talking about games we won. Examples of various fouls or assaults can be shown with why are some punished but not others with Broonaldo being the prime example. If it is done cleverely enough we could actually get other teams like Motherwell onside and supporting it. Lets be clear I don't give a shit about the other teams but it is more likely to go forward if it is not just us. As with all these things it will put pressure on the refs to at least do the right thing. Brenda is playing the media and the SFA at the moment like a fish on Friday and it will only get worse if the club do nothing.
  15. That attitude is what we need more of in a manager. Durrant won't even look at Walter and he's not even the one in trouble.
  16. We need him to play and play well for St J. in the hope somebody takes him off our hands in Jan. The guy is fast but needs to play in a counter attacking team where he gets space, not the 11 behind the ball we face.
  17. Remember watching him doing the crossbar challenge with no problems at all.. Guy was a genius.
  18. Sorry but 2.5 years should be plenty to make a radical difference in our standing. We have one of the highest season ticket sales in Britain. Merchandising should also be as high as most other teams in the EPL but it is not and do not make the MA excuse. Whenever I was put in to turn a business around I would be given a year at the most to show solid improvement or I was not doing my job. Everyone makes excuses for the board as in - the mess left behind etc, but it seems from the outside they are not acting quickly or decisively enough when it comes to the business side. On the football side it will be more difficult but with our fanbase and spend we should be second by some distance. This makes me question the job our CEO is doing and was he the right appointment. A common theme as anyone appointed by the Board so far seems to be failing. We need a top businessman to run the club and a top manager for the team. At the minute we have neither.
  19. Wee Willie always been my favourite player even in a team of stars back then. Can honestly say I have never seen anyone quicker from a standing start than Willie. Would be past the left back and hit the bye line before they realised he'd gone. He had plenty of trickery too, could hit a great shot and could put the ball on the proverbial sixpence. Even he could do very little for a team like todays.
  20. When I first went to watch Rangers we had players like Caldow Greig McKinnon Baxter Henderson Forrest Stein But still I can console myself that none of them had natty hair bands like Windass.
  21. Funnily enough none of the board supporters seem to be in here banging the drum for Dave and telling us how lucky we are to have Rangers men in charge.
