  1. The SFA and referees will only increase the level of doubt over their competence and in truth, their honesty and integrity, if they continue to double down on their current position and are unwilling to admit when mistakes are made.  Collum and Clancy have multiple incidents between them that cannot simply be brushed off as mistakes.  That’s the truth.  The sooner they accept it and make changes the better.

Whilst I see the point you’re making (and it’s a valid one), I counted 10 occasions in the first half where Dessers lost possession of the ball.

It’s less noticeable on days like today because we win the ball back quickly. But against any half decent opposition, that becomes a massive problem.

    He’s an utterly abysmal footballer.

Did he really lose possession 10 times in the first half?

I wasn’t counting but I really don’t remember it being that bad.

Took far too long to get the ball out his feet to shoot twice, but great assist, lots of good hold up play, really good left foot shot off the base of the post and clearly has the character not to let the constant abuse put him off. Hopefully, though, we can get a better cf in, even on loan, and he’ll be okay coming off the bench for the rest of the season.

An accurate assessment of this afternoon.

If he's been brought in as our main CF then nothing much will change.

We need a proper CF who can lead a line and score goals, not one classed as second striker who we rely on as the main man.

In truth, he is probably 3rd choice behind Danilo and Roofe.  Had either of those two been fit he wouldn’t have started.  In the Summer, we probably need to bring in 2 permanent strikers.  Let’s hope that the loan from Wolves can carry us through until then.

I wrote off Sima, I also completely wrote off Dessers, more than happy to be wrong on both, also wrote off Lammers but I'm extremely confident I won't be eating any humble pie because of that fucking useless lazy bastard.

At least you’re confident if nothing else.

    Of those we got plenty.

100%.  But, I think he will look to get something out of them.  Whether he can remains to be seen.  But nothing would be gained by writing anyone off publicly or privately now when the earliest possible opportunity to move them on would be January - if someone wanted them.

I think he will handle this in the correct way.

I think you've maybe answered your own question there.

Dessers and Lammers have done nothing to even suggest anyone would be interested in taking them away in January. Nobody is going to come in and buy these guys in January - anyone who even suggests that is mental - and we don't have the money and/or haven't identified replacements.

So I think he needs to try and get these guys playing and playing well, which they're not going to do rotting on a bench. If Dessers is really a confidence player then he's maybe keeping with him in the hope that game comes along where it all clicks into place and he kicks on from there.

The best managers try to get something out of those who are under performing.  I’m with you, in that I think he will try to get something from them that perhaps we haven’t seen yet.

It's the manager's job to lead in a strategic manner.

Tav generally leads by example on the pitch , but he didn't buy the players in the summer. Not his fault that Dessers and co. are useless, he can not force them into becoming good players. Neither did he give that donkey Beale a contract .

It will be up to the new manager to get the best out of those players or ship them out.

The captaincy role is totally overrated by some on here. You'd think it was a higher role than the manager.

There is no natural successor to Tav as captain either.  I doubt any of our players would want the role anyhow. Because apparently the captain is to blame for everything that goes wrong according to some.

You are primarily a punchbag. The mistakes made from boardroom to management level are are all blamed on you.  Any player with a brain would knock it back. Cunt of a job.

So, we continue to accept mediocrity and a man who clearly has no leadership skills or reasonable level of success on the pitch?  He needs to be pushed to the side.
