Poor all around. More gaps than the London Underground. No idea what the formation or plan was, but it’s absolutely not working. Players are poor, but the bigger question is what is Beale doing?

No bold predictions. But, it’s things like this that can impact in many different areas. Always good to see them lose. The initiative has swung our way.

This. I've said for weeks him & Danilo will get better.
I’m no expert, but I’m with you. He seems to be lacking fitness, but has shown good touches at times. Im fairly sure he will improve. Too early to write him off.

All about Perspective . The other way to look at it is we toiled in an important euro tie at home against a team missing 7 players that went down to 10 men
Of course it could be. But “we’re absolutely fucking shite” per the OP doesn’t really scream perspective to me, after winning a CL qualifier 2-1.
Each to their own though.

Won 2-1, with an improved performance from the weekend - no doubt with a large improvement still required. But, opening a thread with that title is a massive overreaction.

Just watched his press conference. Genuinely must’ve been watching a different game at Rugby Park earlier. I thought that’s as poor a performance as I’ve seen from us. I genuinely don’t know what style we are playing. If anything we reverted back to type with the same players. Get the ball out wide for Borna or Tav to cross the ball into a crowded box for it to be cleared in fact sometimes the ball never even landed in the box. He was banging on about “a tough ground to come to with a team with high energy”. The scum scored 13 times there in 3 games last season!
I stopped listening to him last season after a few games. He has always struck me as yet another, who has all the buzz words in his vocabulary throughout his interviews, which are generally fairly very drab and boring. He would do well just to be more direct and say things as they were today, rather than bull shitting people with his sound bites about tough ground and high energy opposition. Where was our energy? The man is a blagger. Whether or not he can be successful - time will tell, but at this point, he, and his team are failing in far too many areas.

Was like when you get stuck with 4 shite players in 5’s and you just sprint about the pitch trying to do everything to make sure they’re on the ball as little as possible
Except he was also one of the shite players….
Exactly. If someone other than Tav can’t take a throw in, there is something wrong. A slight understatement today, as that is one minor issue among several major problems.

How can we bring in 9 new players who immediately start doing the shit things that those they replaced did.
Michael Beale.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
The best assessment I’ve read so far. Hopefully things improve in the 2nd half.

Some debut that was. Was at the game as a 15 year old (or something like that), and I remember that tackle as clear as day. There was a lot of excitement that day with him simply playing for us. Crap result, but they don’t make them like him anymore.

Waste of money to be honest having watched several games in the league and cup this season. It’s just a really poor product.

This. We never learn!!
I hope that the club have done some serious homework on this, because if his injury does become a longer term issue than it already is, serious questions would have to be asked.

Hasn’t played since February due to a knee injury.

Worth a 1 year deal. No issues with this.

I missed my first game in over ten years! (saw the highlights) Was Yilmaz good?
I thought that he did well. Overlapped and delivered a few crosses, I’m sure he had a couple of interceptions, and was fairly sound defensively as well (from where I was sitting anyway). Good performance in my opinion.

Need to build for next season around him and Raskin
Those 2 are the standard we need.

Many will be showing their incredible loyalty by not turning up tomorrow too.
I’ve renewed. But I am seriously questioning whether I can be arsed driving for an hour to watch our current bunch of lightweight players potentially getting pumped again by the fat Aussie’s mob.

There is no way in hell Morelos will get in our Hall of Fame. I'd put my house on it.
Agreed. Morelos has been given free passes by all those who have managed him at times. Poor management, including Beale who should have realised some time ago that he had chucked it and binned him to the bench at best if not out the squad altogether.

He was a vast on improvement on Tillman, who he replaced, and some think is worth £5m. Yes we need better, but Arfield is not the biggest issue we have. That’s my opinion. People are entitled to disagree.
