  1. Huge weekend, they bottled the chance to go top. We know we have to win and gift another goal, behind 9 times by this point, then come back roaring, score 6, restore the lead to pre-Wednesday, vastly improve our goal difference and our new signing nets a hat-trick not to mention kamara may now try shooting more outside the box!

I'm 1 of the ones that doesn't think he should be dropped for Patterson btw, think he's done well for us especially for what we paid for him & I like him as a guy

However if we ever had any ambition of selling Tav it was in the summer and even then you would've struggled to get anywhere near 8 million sadly

I’m not saying Patterson should start ahead of Tav, it’s a hard position to be in. I just don’t want us to lose our best youth prospect of the last 10 years because we didn’t show enough trust in him to be our main right back.

The valuation of our players is ridiculous compared to the fees for some of the shite switching clubs down south.

If someone offers 10-12million for Patterson, It's phenomenal business for us and he'll be on the first plane out.

Got to agree, if that kind of money came in for a 20 year old with the number of games he has played it would be very good and if a good chunk of that can be reinvested then it’s not the worst outcome.

Now if Tav moved for that money, then you get to keep Patterson and get the money to invest

Aye but we’ll get more money for a first-choice player than one who has barely played in sox months

For what it’s worth I don’t think we want to sell him. We’ll have a price, if it’s met he’s off. If he’s not playing and he’s unhappy about that then he’ll likely be off for less than we are looking for.

We keep harping on about never having youth players come through and when we get one we expect him to be happy getting barely any game time.

That being said if an English club comes in and offers him stupid money per week he’ll want to go anyway.

Has to be a response from the team today, going 2-0 for us, the current form can't continue and with the scum dropping points yesterday we need to start chalking up the wins.

Anything less than a win surely starts even the biggest Gerrard fans questioning his tactics.

    Totally agree with this.

If the team don't come out firing then you have to question what is going on, this is a get out of jail free card to undo Wednesday's result (also bonus that Hearts and Dundee Utd lost too).

I'd settle with the 3 points however it comes but IF we can win with a solid performance and clean sheet it will show that the team has the mettle.

The big guy didn't go down like a ton of bricks though. Because he isn't a cheating cunt!

I hate it when players do this (including our own). Cheats should get banned. Mccrorie and his sheep friends claiming that he had taken a head knock on Wednesday when there was zero contact with his head. Really hate cheats.

Something that seems to have been talked very minimal, if at all, was how shit Bassey was in midweek bar a 5-10 minute spell. Offered us fuck all, no idea why some on here think he's anywhere near good enough.

When he got the better of Ojo and got him booked I thought “here we go, get at him” then nothing for the rest of the game, really bizarre

Couldn't be much worse than what we have have to ensure aw season stumbling from game to game. Soon to be stuttering from game to game imo.

    Something will have to give

A manager than is given more freeway than warburton ever was with no money and half the squad depth n players ..

In fairness Gerrard has delivered the title and 2 very strong seasons in Europe, far more than warburton was going to achieve therefore he has credit in the bank as do the first team players, but they’ve been using that credit up now and have done nothing this season to earn any more.

We are nearly in November and whilst we are still top I see no indication that the corner is suddenly about to be turned and we hit form again.

I don’t however think Alegria would be the answer

There's no debate to be had tbh Morelos and Roofe have both been scoring over the last month or so a kid with no first team experience doesn't come into contention after a hat trick v Alloa

Just found the single word response quite funny, your post here is what I would have expected and is why he won’t be given any run out….if itten gets punted on loan we are not going to promote him to the first team off the back of 6 goals in 3 games.

Get Algeria in the first team squad. Morelos is our only number 9 but rarely hangs about the penalty box.

Defoe isn’t featuring. Sakala is used as a wide man as is Roofe. Itten away.

I’d have said he’s not ready physically but the guy is a unit.

I think Morelos knows he’s the only striker and isn’t getting pushed, when he and defoe were scoring every other week it kept him on his toes but his starting place is assured week in and week out so I reckon there is complacency creeping in.

Firth old contract ran out this past summer but signed a new deal in April this year for some strange fucking reason.

Barker's contract is up next summer. Could've easily shipped him out somewhere for free surely.

Those involved in the Simpson deal should've been given a very hefty fine. Diabolical scouting and judging.

Didn’t realise firth got a new deal

Barker was 100% mark allen without a doubt, that’s good news it’s up after this season.

It's not new at Rangers sometimes you think what is the point of the youth system at all as we seem to just buy players to play and never involve our young players.

Warburton and Gerrard both made a point about pathway to the first team but it looks again like hollow words…..same with mccrorie, pushed into 2 massive games and kept 2 clean sheets and his reward? Back to being 3rd choice.

Same here we seem really scared to blood our own players.

It’s always harder for the old firm, you have to take a punt with these players and run the risk of upsetting the fans if you drop points with them in the team. Sometimes your hand gets forced, like imagine Tav got a broken leg, Patterson would be in for an extended period of time because he has to be and would grow and improve. Without a situation like that he won’t get a runlike that and his progress is hampered.

For Kelly I have no idea how many would have to be injured/suspended before he got a look in, it’s a shame as for years he looked like he could make the grade, guess we’re unlikely to know although he is contracted to 2023 iirc.

Yes, I dont really get the hype he's a tidy player but looks weak and gets outmuscled easily, watched him in a youth game for Chelsea and he did not stand out.

I think he's been okay for Scotland but nothing more.

Why do you want a player who's not committed to Rangers to come back here, I just do not get that at all?

I’d rather see what Kelly has to offer than bring gilmour back but after pre-season he hasn’t had a sniff which makes me think he isn’t up to it or at the very least the management don’t rate him or don’t want to take the gamble (they won’t even gamble playing bacuna)

You could definitely get a job with our scouting department. A 30 year old nomad who's played 40 games since 2018 with only 4 goals for 3 different teams.

I like how you selected not to show the row above newcastle, 43 in 74 for shakhtar…..you could get a job in politics

If the likes of Simpson, Barker and Firth are still around there is always hope for the big man. I do agree though the injury he got was basically him done here.

Barker and firth are here because they have a contract and no one else wants them. Simpson only signed at the turn of the year but I doubt he’ll make it, so another to run down their contract.

We need to sign a big striker to play alongside Roofe as an alternative to Alfie with Sakala/Wright etc so we can change things up during a game if not firing. Itten and Roofe played well together at the start of last season.

Facundo Ferreyra is on a free transfer, wouldn’t be a bad shout for playing in a front two with Roofe.
