The right footed Andy Halliday.....versatile and dependable but not spectacular

Was it Davis with the lazy flick? If so, unlike him.
It was.
showboating and slack play would have cost us dear against a better team and McGregor bailed him out. Goldson caught with a few moments of slackness and complacency as well. It’s the 3rd competitive game so it’s best to get it out of the system now rather than in the games with fine margins.

We now don’t have an out and out right winger which is what I think Gerrard wanted with ojo and Stewart with Hastie as a possibility too. Tav overlap the winger and the winger either cuts inside on stronger foot or plays tav in. Same as the left wing with jones and Murphy and possibly Kent if he’s back. This fits the 4-3-3 formation we play far more and we’ve seen already as with Sunday that jones and ojo played far more narrow with Barisic and tav encouraged to get forward as much as possible.
Time will tell if it’s the right decision but I think Gerrard’s plans aren’t affected much by this and I really do feel Candeias would have been used sparingly and probably on about 10k a week as well.

31 years old and in the last year of his contract when we signed him for 700k, not too bad if that figure is accurate.

Tav has improved beyond the need for this.
True but it certainly helped him for a long time, so if Barisic takes the same steps then surely we all benefit from it.

The way he was playing last year I’d have said sell him but he’s knuckled down and did extra training during a weeks holiday.
I think we’d be ill advised to replace him now plus jones seems to have the knack of doing for Barisic what Candeias does for Tav in that he does the defensive side too and will let Barisic go on the overlap.
It’s a make or break season for Barisic as many have pointed out so unless it’s stupid money with future sell ons I’d reject any bids.

He wouldn’t have stayed because of one game against Greenock fucking Morton. The boy was offered a life changing (for him and his family) deal and took it. Looking like a great decision from his point of view too, he’s getting rave reviews down there.
Yeah it sounds kinda ridiculous saying that with Morton, it’s hardly Barca
What I meant was if he could see that he would play first team football and then getting offered a new deal it might have been enough but yeah it seems like it’s worked well for him but under Gerrard he might have been playing first team football here now.

Hopefully celebrate it with a European debut next week. Get him in front of a packed Ibrox on a European night and he’ll be hooked. Mistake we made with Gilmour shouldn’t be repeated here.

He’s got to get more competition for places in the squad. Get the right type of players in the squad then get them to fight for the jersey. Candeias strikes me as the kind of player to knuckle down and get back into the first team and make it count when he does.
complacency is the enemy within and will often lead to inexplicable dips in form so keeping all of the players on their toes as to who starts each game should help but tinker too much and you disrupt rhythm and momentum in the team.

Much better subscribing to heart and hand in my opinion. Definitely aimed more for staunch, mature bears than the millennial generation that cjnovo aims for.
Much prefer a podcast rather than see someone’s over the top facial expressions or hand gestures plus heart and hand usually has good sources of info and interviews with past players and staff etc.

Love the fact that people want to sell him when we are short of creativity especially when missing players like arfield at the weekend and with tav out as well we created very little. We are most likely not getting Kent so we are already losing a creative player and then sell tav for pittance as far as English market values are concerned and then we solely rely on arfield?
He needs to stay or we get serious money for him to find a suitable replacement.

Long, loooooooong summer ahead

The key thing for me is last year the scum won the title, this year we gifted it to them.
Stop throwing away stupid points like we did this year and 55 will follow

When he signed in January I thought he would struggle to get in the first team.
One of the first names on the team sheet and a steal at that price.
Hi Stephen Craigan
Sorry that’s below the belt comparing any bear to that cuntflap

I really feared for this pairing back when we capitulated in Moscow but I’d be more than happy having these two as our first choice next year.
One goal conceded in the last 5 since Katic came back in and he looks to have got over whatever was troubling him mid-season.

Is it just me or did anyone else think at the final whistle Ryan Kent seemed to be the last Rangers player to leave the park, and took his time to clap the fans from all 4 stands. Had me thinking if he was thinking that, todays game at Ibrox was his last?
I love the wee guy and I sincerely hope something can be done to keep him hear for next season.
As far as things stand right now it is his last game for us at Ibrox.
It will be a long summer and Liverpool have the small matter of a champions league final to worry about so I’m not reading too much into it. We want him, he’d like to be here so time will tell if any deal can be done but until then he has 1 game left for us.

I think we have goals from midfield this season with Aribo and Ojo looking dangerous in and around the box. I think Alfie, Defoe, Stewart and top rate youth striker (mcpake or mebude) as the last resort will do but jones, Hastie, Murphy on the left really doesn’t fill me with confidence.
