I’m not sure if the headline is a lift and drop from a media source or Williamson’s headline but it doesn’t really reflect the story. I completely agree with you and I think this is because, unlike previous managers back to Walter, he has the self confidence and belief that he can manage a club of our size, that he belongs here. Warburton and Pedro never had that, Ally obviously did as a player (and assistant) but you felt that from the day he took the top job that confidence drained a bit and he was always on the defensive. Steven Gerrard knows he belongs at the top in everything he does.

£600k is effectively a free agent at £12k a week, although of course you would need to pay a signing on fee, and I’m sure we could get a better player as a free agent for that kind of money. Dont ask me who right enough, I would leave that up to Mr Gerrard.

I do like him as a player and a character and think he will eventually mature into a good Scottish Prem striker but the facts are he has only ever proven himself in the Scottish Championship.

I don’t think it makes any difference (apart from a few quid prize money extra and possibly one less qualifier less) whether we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th. If they were going to throw a game against the sheep to fuck us then they would need to throw the cup final too to stop us getting into Europe.
