What was worrying about our tactics is out of possession the players didn't look like they knew who was closing who down. The full backs from the other team were effectively doubling up on our full backs creating a 2 on 1. Dowell was all over the place coz of it when for me Sima and Lammers should close or track the full backs down.

Game time gets players sharp, there's a difference between fitness and sharpness. Only competitive games will get players sharp and ready for the season which is why a lot of the players are getting minutes.
Obviously we hope the players are taking what we worked on into the games. The team that starts against Hoffenheim will no doubt be the team he starts against Kilmarnock and possibly the European qualifier.

The only team that suffers from this is themselves. Aye it's pish but it won't be long until they change their tune. As soon as results start slipping most of these stadiums are empty.

I can see him getting similar game time that Bassey got during the 55 season.....it really is up to him to develop further....he genuinely looks as if he has a good football brain allied with quite a calm head....that said it's pre season friendlies, we all know how misleading these games can be
