  1. Brilliant. Cheers for posting this. Brings back superb memories of a top player and he just LOVED scoring against the scum. Legend.
  2. Yip, but the warning signs were already there when we were still in the Premier League. He was never managerial material in a million years. That was the time for Ally to stand aside and go back into media, just like Alan Shearer did at Newcastle; instead of him trying to rebuild our team in the third division. Such a pity that someone who was regarded as a legend in so many fan's eyes (myself included), is now reduced to ridicule on social media. I've not got much sympathy for him though, as he made sure he filled his boots with extortionate wages and penny shares, whilst he was there, and is now laughing all the way to the bank.
  3. Kranjcar? I was actually beginning to forget him, tbh. I actually thought he had returned to the States to play 'Soccer' with the college kids. Still, I guess he's good for a few more cameo appearances every now and again.
  4. Absolutely. He was simply diabolical. Tbh, we were always up against it yesterday playing the scum with four defenders unavailable through injury - two of which are first team starters. We simply showed we don't have the strength in depth to cope with that amount of injuries, hence the reason we are playing guys like the hapless Hodson.
  5. Nah, not for me. I gave him the benefit of the doubt last season due to his injuries, but at times he just looks lost at our club. In his only defence, he is like a square peg in round hole playing left wing. I've read about 4 different versions of his best position on here, but he certainly not cut out for the position he is being asked to fill, as he doesn't track back often enough to help the defence. A squad player at best all day long.
  6. Not sure if Souness at the sidelines would have made one iota of difference yesterday - especially when you've got defenders kicking at fresh air for their jammy first goal. Anyway, going on memory, I think Souness went for a heart-bypass some years ago. The last thing he would want at his age is to take on all that stress again, especially when he already has a very cushy number giving his opinions in the media.
  7. A dreadful start, then we seemed to do okay after that and held our own. The second half was appalling and we didn't get near them. A fluky 1st goal along with some Keystone cop defending for our part and it was game over.
  8. Tbh, I thought the result yesterday was expected, as much as I hated to admit and it was really pish. Going into an old firm match minus four defenders from our squad was always going to be a tough ask against the scum at full strength. I'm not sure if PC will be around long term, but all the team talk, selection and tactics in the world can't legislate for two or three defenders kicking at fresh air for the first goal and our keeper getting beat at his near post for the second. Decent first half, but still way short in the end.
  9. Agree with most of the above: Tav (in parts), McCrorie, Jack and Morelos got pass marks. Hodson is so poor, he should not even be considered for the squad during the remainder of the season. He actually reminds me of the dreadful & bizzare signings Ally made when we were in the 3rd division (the 'Greek guy' springs to mind).
  10. FFs, another patched-up team. It's starting to remind me of our defence going into the last OF game at our own ground. What a shower of jammy bastards. Hopefully, Morelos will be in fine form tomorrow anyway and destroy them, regardless of whatever defence we play.
  11. Agree with a lot of the formations on here. Personally, I would wrap Morelos in cotton wool and keep him fit for the weekend, as I've got a feeling we're going to get booted up and down the park tonight - I really fear we might pick up more injuries again :(
  12. Definitely. I said in a previous thread that I had to do a double take to make sure it was only 500k we paid for him. And if some of the EPL clubs do come sniffing around him at the end of the season, then I reckon we can put a wee zero at the end of the 500k and make that "healthy profit" you're talking about.
  13. Agreed. That's why it would only work against the so-called 'diddy' teams, who come to our ground and have about two or three shots at goal during the whole game; the rest of the time they spend just banking-up trying to grind out a boring draw against us.
  14. Although this is a bit of tongue-in cheek mate, I do like the idea of playing a back three with Alves in the centre, against the teams who play one up front and gets everyone behind the ball, banking-up to settle for a point - just like hearts did a few weeks ago. It means more of our players can get forward, so you're actually not too far off with that comment!
  15. Just watched the clip - first time I've seen it. Tbf, PC carries himself quite well in the clip, but that guy Sutton comes across as just a complete knob head. You can see his hatred for us oozing out of every pour. Is he really the best that BT sport can come up with when selecting their panel? He comes across as petty, unprofessional and only interested in immature point scoring.
  16. Yip, and the good thing about it is that he looks like he's going to get even better, once he gets fully settled into our league. An excellent signing and seems to be tremondous value for money so far.
  17. Yip, agree with OP. His goal was cool, calm and collective. Hopefully that will now kick-off the first of many.
  18. I thought he did fine today; pass marks for me. My concern is that he seems very similar to Jack and does the same type of job in midfield. A few posters on here said this was the role he was now playing with Norwich when we were first trying to sign him, instead of the box-to-box midfielder a lot of us thought we were getting. Hopefully, with Pena getting more game time now, it will give us more options of getting players into the box to support our strikers.
  19. Should win no problem. A potential banana skin though (we've heard that before). A couple of goals and get the confidence going again. Defeat is not even an option for us.
  20. No probs...it's a message board mate, so of course you should post, as your opinion is just as valid as everyone else's on here. As for the "hidden gems" that no one knows about? Well, I think we thought our last two managers were going to furnish our club with lots and lots of them, but that has not exactly went according to plan. I just don't have the kind of patience that your alluding to bud in your post, but fair play to you if you do!
  21. No offence mate, but I was kinda struggling with this. I got what you meant at the end. How do you define strong and stable though? I just don't think our support would tolerate being second for the 4 or 5 years you've mentioned. Our Managers barley 4 or 5 months, before there's severe pressure on them to deliver (rightly so), so being second and an odd cup run in the hope that we "come good in the end", would go down like a lead balloon with the majority of bears.
  22. Yip, and watching us play the 'one up front' some time against part timers was the worst thing ever
  23. A bit before my time mate, but I gave you a like because my old man said the exact same thing to me once!
  24. So has Dodoo now left the building?! He seems to have just disappeared into the abyss. He's got something about him, I will give you that, but PC obviously just doesn't rate him, as he's not had a look-in since the last debacle of an OF game.
