  1. Ok, but we've tried every permutation possible this season with the current squad we have and they have been found wanting. That's why I think the trio today should be given a chance to gel. And the WHOLE team was shite on Wednesday, not just the midfield.
  2. Another poor result, but the ONLY positive I took from the match today was our midfield trio: good energy, passing and vision at times. Toral is looking better each game he plays, and Hyndman is just class. Holt covered every inch of grass and had a good game too. I think we should stick with this midfield trio until the end of the season, as they will get much better as they get to know each other's attributes. We're STILL toothless in the last third though!
  3. I know what you mean mate. I was a big fan of Warburton and was standing by him until the end of he season, at least. You are spot on: a mistake or two changes the whole complexion of the game. BUT, it's the lack of fight that gets me. I can accept getting beat by the better team - that's football; but we seem unable to fight fire with fire: when teams play at a very high tempo against us, or get in 'our faces', we really struggle, and you can see the confidence slowly ebbing away from our players as the game goes on. Perhaps Warburton has just taken this group of players as high as he can, and another manager coming in would give us some new ideas and bit of freshness? I really don't know. I'm just pissed off like everyone else on here
  4. Yip. I actually did feel a wee bit sorry for the big guy tonight - when he's bad, he's REALLY bad! His performance reminded me of the shocker he had at the piggery. The whole team failed tonight though. In saying that, how bad is Senderos if he can't get a game in THAT defence ffs?!
  5. I know what you mean mate...I said in another post, the second half performance reminded me of that game. The player's heads went down after we went 2-1 behind. We have no spine, and don't cope at all with a high tempo and teams closing us down very quickly. Shocking display.
  6. The second half performance reminded of the shocking display at the piggery: no fight, no confidence, players all over the place with huge gaps between them, and no player wanting the ball. We seem unable (or unwilling!) to learn any lessons at all from our defensive mistakes this season, and really toil against teams away from home, who play at a very high tempo. A very bad day at the office indeed.
  7. I'm still sticking with Warburton...I think he deserves to take us to at least the end of the season, and review it then; but my god, I really was struggling to hold onto that belief, when we went a goal down! Tremendous character shown today by the players, but the fact we're still relying on a striker in his late thirties to get us out of jail, time and time again, sums up our season, imo. Well done Kenny!
  8. Agree with your view, but I really hope Warburtion ditches the 3 centre halves once Wallace returns, as we get taken apart far too easily, time and time again down the flanks. It's awful.
  9. Agree with this. The only players we had who could cope with being put under severe pressure by two or three Leipzig players closing them down, was McKay and the young lad Hyndman - I thought he was terrific when he came on, and McKay was excellent too. Major respect to the bears who attended the game today.
  10. I sincerely hope you're right mate, but remember the dreaded You Tube can even make Ian Black look top drawer in midfield.
  11. Spot on! That was the worst ever. I think we also had to hand over all of our Championship winnings to that bastard Ashley if we had got up that season too, just to rub salt into the wounds! Shocking.
  12. Good point. I was actually reading about our new loan signings in the Sun online when I saw it - definitely don't read the rest of the pish on it though.
  13. I saw it myself earlier. The guy 'Sean' is a vile scumbag. We all know fuck all will get done about it though.
  14. Cheers for the info - was thinking that myself if he comes on. Lets hope he doesn't pick up a frigging injury though!
  15. Nah, there's no need for me to have another look, as I was 100% certain he was going for glory. He's done this a few times this season tbh. Warburton should have a word with both Forrester & Waghorn and tell them to STOP trying to be Roy of the Rovers in front of goal all the time!
  16. I know where you're coming from, but remember "this standard of player" you are referring to was good enough to get us out of the championship at the first attempt - something McCoist's players were unable to do, and most of them were ex premier league players! We have now levelled out as a team with the current squad, and seriously need a few real gems to take us to the next level. If this doesn't happen, we have NO chance of competing for the title any time soon.
  17. Ok. That's just your opinion, but I will stick to mine. For me the jury is still out on him. Anyway, there' a lot of players who start out in the lower leagues and go on to become excellent players so sometimes it's worth a gamble.
  18. This. All day long. There's a lot of very good aspects to his game, which I like; but when he loses the ball, or gets caught out of position, you see him sometimes just ambling back, whilst everyone else around him is bursting a gut. Drives me nuts!
  19. Absolutely superb performance by him, and Warburton definitely made the right decision to take him out of the spot light for a while. He's came back into the team totally reinvigorated. That's the best way to answer all the critics out there - a few others in our team this season could take a leaf out of his book!
  20. I must admit, he looked a bit lost in it all today. He's just back from long term injury, so I'm cutting him some slack as I still think he can go on to be a very good player for us.
  21. Spot on! He's a good player not a great one, and I'm sure he will be the first to admit he's no Giovanni van Bronckhorst. I was never a massive fan of him at first tbh, but he's improved a lot this season imo, and he's had more good games than bad. That will do for me!
  22. The Charlie Adam one you mentioned was a real sore one. I remember him getting stick cause he had no pace playing on the wing - he heads down south, gets moved into the central midfield, and ends up moving around for millions of pounds! So you might have a point there mate.
  23. Yip. Glass half full and all that. I don't see any of the teams around us going on a long winning run of games, which means we are more than capable of getting second - as much as that pisses me off to say it. I was disgusted with the lack of fight at tynecastle. Now the payers have a chance to make amends. Can't wait for the match to start.
  24. Indeed we have mate. I said I was gong to give our manager until the end of the season - think he deserves that after getting us up on his first attempt from the Championship, but I must admit, the lack of fight in both the cup final and tonight was shocking. Losing out in 50/50 balls is unforgivable. Saturday's game can't come quick enough for me.
  25. I didn't say we were a bad team at all. Far from it. We are where we are at the moment. We will get better as the squad develops. I just think we should be expecting a bit more from the so-called top teams in the league. That's all.
